Position Summary:
The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide full-scope midwifery care as part of the Midwifery Program within the Division Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Certified Nurse Midwife will see patients at Froedtert & MCW clinic sites and attend births at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Certified Nurse Midwife will be a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.
This is a unique opportunity to join our new midwifery team and be part of the exciting growth in obstetrics care at Froedtert & MCW. Froedtert & MCW has expanded low-risk pregnancy services throughout the community. Last year, the Birth Center welcomed over 4,000 babies at the Froedtert Milwaukee campus, and we are continuing to grow. Later this year, Froedtert will open an OB Emergency Department and an additional Labor and Delivery unit designed for low-risk labor and birth.
Position Highlights:
- Provide full scope midwifery care, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecological, and well-woman services.
- Manage labor and attend births at Froedtert Hospital Milwaukee.
- Staff the mobile clinic.
- Opportunity to train as first assist in cesarean section.

- Froedtert Hospital serves as a statewide referral center, providing high-quality care for patients with a variety of complexity.
- Froedtert features one of the only Level 4 Obstetrical Units in Wisconsin, directly connected to the Level 4 NICU at Children’s Wisconsin.
- The MCW Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology has 63 clinical faculty, 10 research faculty, 38 APPs, and 20 residents including subspecialists in maternal fetal medicine, gyn oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, urogynecology, complex gynecology and pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Master’s Degree from an accredited School of Nursing and Midwifery
- 2+ years midwifery experience including attending deliveries
- Wisconsin RN License
- Wisconsin Nurse Midwife License
- Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
- Certification Requirements: American Midwifery Certification Board
