Our growing practice is seeking a full-time, experienced Veterinary Technician. We are a busy small animal clinic located in Morrilton. Great work environment with potential to learn and grow with our team. No nights, weekends, or holidays!
Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:
- Basic grooming
- Answering phones & helping with front desk duties as needed
- Patient handling and restraint
- Basic animal care
- Administering medications
- Able to obtain samples (feces, urine, blood, etc...) for laboratory testing
- Monitor patients
- Operate blood machines
- Surgical patient monitoring: anesthesia and vital signs
- Help with x-rays
- Placing IV catheters and administering IV fluids
- Assisting doctor in surgery and exam rooms
- Basic cleaning
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Must excel at multitasking
- Must be responsible, dependable, & hardworking
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to stand for long periods of time
The right applicant must be able to work well in a team environment, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a dedicated work ethic, provide excellent client/patient care, and be willing to learn from our team.
