About Flourish Health
1 in 25 adolescents and young adults will be diagnosed with a serious mental illness—and far too many families never receive the care they need. Barriers like long waitlists, limited access, and fragmented systems mean help often comes too late.
At Flourish Health, we exist to change that. Our mission is simple: provide access to timely, high-quality mental health care. We specialize in serving patients and families navigating complex symptoms and systems, meeting them with compassion, clarity, and urgency.
About the Role
We’re hiring a master’s-level clinician to join our Growth team as a Sr. Clinical Access Specialist. This role sits at the front door of care and is critical to our ability to serve families quickly and well.
You’ll partner closely with our Admissions Specialists to help patients move efficiently from initial assessment to admission. As the clinical owner of post-assessment coordination, you will complete collateral outreach for complex cases, gather additional clinical information, engage caregivers and community stakeholders, and address barriers that may otherwise delay access to care.
In addition, you will serve as a subject matter expert on Flourish's state contracts and admission requirements, applying a clinical lens to contractual obligations and helping ensure patients are connected to the right care. You will regularly communicate with referral sources, managed care organizations, state agencies, juvenile justice programs, and other external stakeholders throughout the admissions process.
Your work directly impacts access—helping families move forward instead of getting stuck.
This role is ideal for clinicians who:
- Enjoy assessment, formulation, and clinical decision-making
- Are energized by helping families say “yes” to care when it’s appropriate
- Can balance clinical rigor with speed, empathy, and practicality
- Have experience working with underserved populations
- Are comfortable navigating non-clinical complexities and implementing motivational interviewing to overcome these challenges; including showing up to appointments, ambivalence towards treatment, and low engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Complete brief mental health assessments, triage, and obtain collateral clinical information for adolescents, young adults, and families via telehealth
- Complete timely, high-quality documentation and follow-up for each clinical interaction
- Determine clinical fit, risk level, and appropriate next steps—within Flourish or through external referrals
- Serve as the clinical subject matter expert on state-specific contracts, admission pathways, eligibility requirements, and referral processes
- Communicate with referral sources, managed care organizations, state agencies, juvenile justice programs, child welfare agencies, and other external stakeholders to coordinate admissions and ensure timely progression through the intake process
- Track and manage contract-specific admission requirements, timelines, and documentation needs to support compliance and operational excellence
- Serve as a trusted team resource regarding contract requirements, referral expectations, and complex admission scenarios
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, care advocates, and operations partners
- Use clinical judgment to meet families where they are—motivating engagement while maintaining appropriate clinical boundaries
- Support with covering full-time assessment role PTO and clinical administrative work as needed

- Takes pride in doing things thoroughly and efficiently
- Is eager to jump in and support the team where they’re needed
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a clinical discipline, fully licensed for a minimum of 2yrs (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCMHC, or equivalent)
- 8+ years of relevant patient experience or equivalent performance
- Experience conducting brief assessments and/or triage, ideally in a remote or telehealth setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort navigating changing workflows in a scaling organization
- Experience communicating with external stakeholders
- Intrinsic motivation to connect patients and families with the right care as quickly as possible
- Must be 18 years or older
- Attendance at 2+ in-person events per year required
