How do I get a clinical research assistant job in Columbus?
The strongest path in Columbus is targeting its academic medical center ecosystem, particularly the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center area and Nationwide Children's Hospital, where coordinator and research assistant roles open regularly. Contract research organizations clustered near the Easton and Polaris corridors also hire frequently. Candidates who hold a CCRP credential, have hands-on patient contact experience, or know electronic data capture systems like REDCap tend to move faster through Columbus hiring pipelines.
Which companies hire clinical research assistants in Columbus?
Companies currently hiring clinical research assistants in Columbus include The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, The Ohio State University, and Nationwide Children's Hospital, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Columbus hiring is driven by a mix of large academic health systems, regional CROs, and specialty clinical networks that support ongoing multi-site trials.

Yes, though most clinical research assistant work is site-dependent because it involves direct patient interaction, specimen handling, and on-site protocol compliance. About 23% of clinical research assistant openings tied to Columbus are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those roles tend to focus on data entry, regulatory document management, and trial coordination tasks that don't require physical presence.
How can I get a clinical research assistant job in Columbus with little or no experience?
