Basic Function
This position assumes various regular and/or delegated tasks which require operating with a high degree of independent judgment. Included in the responsibilities are maintaining files, records, statistics, and reports used by the child development program. In addition, this position assists with ensuring the program meets with requirements from all funding sources and will heavily assist in organization of recruitment activities and frequently makes outside contact on related matters.

Reports To: Educational Director of Child Development Programs

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for making sure all sites have screening materials
- Responsible for tracking and monitoring screenings for all program sites within the 45th day enrollment (This will vary according to the child’s enrollment date.)
- Identify, track and monitor children who have scored above the cut-off on the ASQ-2’s and ASQ-3’s for all children
- Identify, track, and monitor children who have failed the ESI-R screenings.
- Track all IEPs and IFSPs (specifically including status for 10% of children with disabilities). Track number of pending and complete referrals.
- Monitor the Disability Folders and Binders at all sites.
- Complete all referral packets for Head Start, Early Head Start, and Preschool for All. Review all documentation needed for the referral and submit it to the DFSS Disability Specialist.
- Train the site staff on the referral process.
- Work closely with the Paraprofessionals with understanding the referral process and providing practical training for IEP’s and IFSP’s.
- Assist the Education Team with training the site staff on screenings (ASQ’s and ESI-R’s).
- Screen children along with the Education Coaches when needed.
- Submit all reports to the Education Director weekly.
Specifications
This position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Early Childhood Special Education, or in the Behavioral Sciences.
This position requires 1 year of experience working with infant/toddler and preschool children and families is preferred.

Assists with and confirms that each partner site is conducting required Mental Health parent/staff trainings as well as individual child/classroom observations in order to maintain compliance (per CELS 2.0 guidelines listed below); maintains clear records of the above in appropriate tracking documents and a Mental Health binder at each site
