Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding Software Systems Engineer Jobs at Applied Intuition Jobs
Align your experience with safety-critical systems
Applied Intuition prioritizes engineers with backgrounds in real-time systems, embedded software, or simulation infrastructure. Frame your resume around reliability, latency constraints, and systems correctness rather than general software development.
Start OPT paperwork at least three months early
F-1 students on OPT have a 60-day grace period after employment ends. If you're switching to Applied Intuition from another employer, confirm your OPT end date immediately so your start date and authorization window actually overlap.
Prepare a technical portfolio around simulation or tooling work
Software Systems Engineer interviews at Applied Intuition heavily test systems design and low-level engineering. Document any prior work on CI/CD pipelines, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or autonomous system components before your technical screens.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Applied Intuition posts Software Systems Engineer openings across multiple teams. Use Migrate Mate to surface active roles filtered by the specific visa category you need, so you're only pursuing positions where your sponsorship type is already confirmed.
Confirm LCA filing timelines with your hiring contact
Your employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process an H-1B petition. Ask the recruiter which team handles this internally and what their typical turnaround is so you can set a realistic start date.

Does Applied Intuition sponsor H-1B visas for Software Systems Engineers?
Yes, Applied Intuition sponsors H-1B visas for Software Systems Engineers. The company has an established sponsorship process for this role, and the function maps cleanly to the specialty occupation standard USCIS requires. If you're subject to the H-1B cap lottery, timing your application with the April filing window is essential since cap-subject petitions can only be submitted once per fiscal year.
Which visa types are commonly used for Software Systems Engineer roles at Applied Intuition?
Applied Intuition sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 for most international hires, E-3 for Australian citizens, and TN status for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role falls under the NAFTA/USMCA engineer category. F-1 OPT and CPT are supported for students still completing their programs. For longer-term pathways, EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa categories are also available.
How do I apply for Software Systems Engineer jobs at Applied Intuition?
Browse open Software Systems Engineer positions at Applied Intuition through Migrate Mate, which lists current openings filtered by visa sponsorship type. Applied Intuition's interview process typically includes a recruiter screen, technical assessments focused on systems design and low-level programming, and a final loop with the engineering team. Having your visa category and authorization timeline ready before the offer stage keeps the process moving smoothly.
What qualifications are expected for Software Systems Engineer roles at Applied Intuition?
Applied Intuition generally looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. Practical experience with real-time systems, embedded software, simulation frameworks, or infrastructure tooling is highly valued. Roles often require proficiency in C++ or Python, and familiarity with automotive or robotics software stacks is a meaningful differentiator during the interview process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need visa sponsorship for a Software Systems Engineer role at Applied Intuition?
Timeline depends on your visa category. Cap-subject H-1B petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start, so you'd need an offer well before March. E-3 and TN status can be obtained at a U.S. consulate with faster turnaround, often within weeks. F-1 OPT authorization requires USCIS processing, which can take up to 90 days, so apply through your DSO as early as your program allows.
