Frame your degree around specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility for intern roles hinges on whether the position requires a specific bachelor's degree. Aquatech's water technology and consulting work typically ties to engineering, environmental science, or chemistry, so align your resume and cover letter to that field match explicitly.
Target water infrastructure and consulting teams
Aquatech staffs interns across project engineering, process consulting, and treatment design. Applications directed at those teams, rather than general intern pools, land closer to the technical roles where sponsorship has historically been tied to specialized degree requirements.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the offer stage
Raise visa sponsorship directly once you reach the hiring manager conversation, not after an offer is extended. Aquatech's recruiting timelines for intern roles can move quickly, and confirming sponsorship willingness early prevents late-stage complications when filing deadlines are already tight.
Understand CPT and OPT as bridge options
If you're currently on F-1 status, Curricular Practical Training or Optional Practical Training may cover your internship without requiring employer-sponsored H-1B filing. Confirm with your DSO whether your program qualifies before assuming Aquatech needs to sponsor a separate petition.
Time applications around USCIS H-1B cap registration
If you're targeting a post-graduation H-1B conversion after an internship, USCIS opens the annual lottery registration window in March. Structure your Aquatech internship timeline so a full-time offer can be extended before that window closes for the relevant fiscal year.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open intern roles
Aquatech posts intern openings across multiple practice areas throughout the year. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Aquatech International intern positions verified for visa sponsorship, so you're not manually sorting through listings with unclear authorization support.

Find Intern at Aquatech International JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Aquatech International sponsor H-1B visas for Interns?
Yes, Aquatech International has sponsored H-1B visas for intern-level roles. Because H-1B eligibility requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, the strongest intern candidates are those whose degree field directly aligns with Aquatech's core disciplines, including water treatment engineering, environmental consulting, and process design. Confirm sponsorship with the recruiter early in the process.
How do I apply for Intern jobs at Aquatech International?
Applications for Aquatech International intern roles are submitted through their careers portal. You can also browse and filter open intern positions verified for visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate. Tailor your application to the specific practice area you're targeting, whether that's project engineering, consulting, or technology deployment, and address your degree-to-role alignment directly in your cover materials.
Which visa types are commonly used for Intern roles at Aquatech International?
The H-1B is the primary employer-sponsored visa path for intern roles that qualify as specialty occupations. Many interns currently on F-1 student visas work under CPT or OPT authorization first, which doesn't require a separate employer petition. If an internship converts to a full-time role, Aquatech may then initiate H-1B sponsorship through USCIS for the following fiscal year cap.
What qualifications are expected for Intern positions at Aquatech International?
Aquatech's intern roles sit within water technology and environmental consulting, so the strongest applicants hold degrees or active enrollment in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, or related technical fields. Project-based coursework, lab experience, or prior internships in water treatment or infrastructure consulting help differentiate candidates. For H-1B purposes, your degree field must correspond directly to the role's defined duties.
How do I navigate the timeline between an Aquatech internship and H-1B sponsorship?
If you complete an internship on OPT and Aquatech extends a full-time offer, your employer must submit an H-1B registration during the USCIS cap registration window, typically in March, for an October 1 start date. STEM OPT can extend your work authorization by up to 24 months if your degree qualifies, giving you additional runway if the lottery is delayed or requires a second attempt.
