Tailor your credentials for consulting environments
Arcadis operates in professional services, so your resume should emphasize high-volume, client-facing hospitality experience. Formal service training certifications and banquet or corporate event experience carry more weight here than standard restaurant backgrounds.
Confirm your visa category before applying
Arcadis sponsors multiple visa types including H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT. Identify which category fits your nationality and status before outreach, since the petition process and employer obligations differ significantly across each.
Target Arcadis locations with active hospitality operations
Not every Arcadis office supports Waiter roles. Focus your search on headquarters and large regional offices where internal catering, executive dining, or client event programs are actively staffed year-round.
Align your OPT start date with hiring timelines
If you're on F-1 OPT, request your EAD through USCIS well before your program end date. Arcadis HR will need to verify work authorization through E-Verify at onboarding, so gaps in authorization create real obstacles.
Ask directly about LCA filing during offer stage
For H-1B sponsorship, Arcadis must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process your petition. Confirming this step is underway protects your timeline and prevents delays after you've accepted an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Waiter roles at Arcadis
Searching broadly misses roles that are actively sponsoring. Use Migrate Mate to filter Waiter openings at Arcadis by visa type so you only spend time on positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Arcadis sponsor H-1B visas for Waiters?
Yes, Arcadis has a demonstrated record of H-1B visa sponsorship that extends to roles across its operations, including Waiter positions that support its professional services environment. Because the H-1B requires an approved Labor Condition Application from the DOL and a USCIS petition, you'll want to confirm sponsorship intent early in the interview process rather than waiting until an offer is extended.
How do I apply for Waiter jobs at Arcadis?
You can search for open Waiter positions directly on the Arcadis careers page or use Migrate Mate to filter roles by visa sponsorship type so you only see listings where international candidates are actively considered. When applying, highlight corporate or executive hospitality experience, as Arcadis's consulting environment typically prioritizes service candidates with professional client-facing backgrounds.
Which visa types does Arcadis commonly use for Waiter roles?
Arcadis sponsors a range of visa categories for Waiter positions, including H-1B, H-1B1 visa, TN visa, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1 visa, and employment-based Green Card pathways such as EB-2 and EB-3. The right category for you depends on your nationality, education, and current immigration status. TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals, while F-1 OPT and CPT are limited to students enrolled in U.S. academic programs.
What qualifications does Arcadis expect for sponsored Waiter roles?
Arcadis typically looks for candidates with experience in corporate dining, executive catering, or high-volume professional hospitality settings. Formal food service certifications, familiarity with structured service standards, and experience coordinating with event or facilities teams are practical advantages. Because Arcadis operates in a consulting environment, professionalism and discretion in client-facing situations matter more than in standard restaurant contexts.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Waiter position at Arcadis?
Timeline depends on the visa category. F-1 OPT authorization through USCIS can take two to three months, so you'll need to plan ahead of your program end date. H-1B petitions are subject to the annual cap and lottery, with a standard processing window of three to six months after selection. TN status for eligible nationals can be obtained at the border or port of entry, making it the fastest option if you qualify.
