Earn Vendor Certifications Before Applying
Arista values hands-on familiarity with EOS and its CloudVision platform. Holding certifications like CCNP, JNCIP, or Arista's own ACE credential signals technical readiness and reduces employer hesitation around sponsoring a non-citizen candidate.
Understand How Arista Structures Support Tiers
Arista organizes Technical Support Engineers across TAC tiers handling escalations for routing, switching, and data center fabrics. Applications that highlight protocol-level troubleshooting experience, such as BGP, OSPF, or VXLAN, align directly with what hiring managers screen for at the resume stage.
Clarify H-1B Filing Intent During Offer Negotiation
Ask explicitly whether your offer includes H-1B sponsorship and whether the company covers premium processing, which USCIS currently processes in 15 business days. Getting this in writing before you sign avoids surprises when the April lottery registration window opens.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Active Openings
Technical Support Engineer roles at Arista open across multiple U.S. locations and don't always stay posted long. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Arista openings that include visa sponsorship so you can apply before requisitions close.
Prepare for a Longer Permanent Residency Timeline
If your goal is a Green Card, Arista sponsorship for EB-2 or EB-3 typically requires at least one year of full-time employment before the PERM labor certification process begins. Factor this into your overall immigration planning, especially if you're from a backlogged country.

Arista typically looks for a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience troubleshooting enterprise networking environments.
