Highlight hands-on materials handling experience
Avery Dennison's manufacturing lines involve pressure-sensitive materials, label stock, and converting equipment. Tailor your resume to reflect experience with similar production machinery, quality control checkpoints, and shift-based output targets rather than generic factory work.
Verify your OPT or CPT authorization aligns early
F-1 students targeting a Manufacturing Operator role need to confirm their authorized employment category covers production floor work before accepting an offer. CPT requires enrollment-linked work, so timing your graduation and start date matters more than most candidates realize.
Target facilities with active H-1B filing histories
Avery Dennison operates manufacturing sites across multiple U.S. states. Search DOL's OFLC disclosure data by employer name to identify which facilities have filed Labor Condition Applications for manufacturing roles, then focus your applications on those specific locations.
Understand the PERM timeline for permanent residency
If you're aiming for an EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card through Avery Dennison, the PERM labor certification process typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even begins reviewing your I-140 petition. Factor this into your long-term visa planning from the start.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open roles by visa type
Manufacturing Operator openings at Avery Dennison get filled quickly. Use Migrate Mate to filter active listings by the specific visa types the company sponsors, so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed rather than guessing from a generic job board.
Confirm TN eligibility before the offer stage
Canadian and Mexican nationals may qualify for TN status in manufacturing-adjacent professional categories. Review the DOL's TN occupational list carefully before interviews, since not all Manufacturing Operator duties map cleanly to a qualifying USMCA professional category.

Find Manufacturing Operator at Avery Dennison JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Avery Dennison sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing Operators?
Yes, Avery Dennison has sponsored H-1B visas for workers in manufacturing functions. Because the H-1B requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, your application package needs to clearly demonstrate that the position demands at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Roles involving process engineering or technical production oversight tend to meet this standard more readily than general assembly positions.
Which visa types are commonly used for Manufacturing Operator roles at Avery Dennison?
Avery Dennison sponsors H-1B, TN, and F-1 OPT and CPT for manufacturing roles, and supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employees. F-1 OPT is common for recent graduates entering production roles, while TN is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. EB-3 is the most frequently used immigrant visa category for skilled manufacturing workers.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Manufacturing Operator roles at Avery Dennison?
Avery Dennison typically looks for candidates with hands-on experience operating converting, printing, or laminating machinery, along with familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO or Six Sigma. A technical degree or vocational certification strengthens your application, particularly if you're seeking H-1B sponsorship where a degree requirement must be established. Shift flexibility and experience reading production specifications are consistently valued across their facilities.
How do I apply for Manufacturing Operator jobs at Avery Dennison?
Browse current Manufacturing Operator openings on Migrate Mate, where listings are filtered to show roles at companies with confirmed visa sponsorship histories. Applying directly through Avery Dennison's careers portal is also recommended. Before you apply, review which facility the role is based at, since sponsorship practices can vary by site and the hiring manager at each location has discretion over whether to initiate a visa petition.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for Manufacturing Operator roles?
Timelines depend heavily on visa type. H-1B sponsorship follows USCIS's annual lottery with a typical October 1 start date, meaning you could wait six months or more from offer to work authorization. TN status for Canadian nationals can be obtained at the border in a single day. F-1 OPT authorization takes up to 90 days from your USCIS application date, so submit your I-765 as early as eligible.
