Align your credentials with ASCE standards
BKF Engineers works across civil and infrastructure consulting, so framing your Project Controls Manager experience around ASCE-recognized competencies and project delivery frameworks strengthens your petition's specialty occupation case under EB-2 or EB-3 adjudication.
Target BKF's active infrastructure project pipelines
BKF consistently posts Project Controls Manager openings tied to active land development, transportation, and utility projects. Applying to roles linked to funded, ongoing projects shortens the path from offer letter to initiated sponsorship, since employers move faster when headcount is billable.
Clarify sponsorship eligibility before your first interview
BKF Engineers sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 but not H-1B, so confirm your current status supports Green Card sponsorship without an interim H-1B bridge. If you're on OPT or a dependent visa, map your authorized work period against the PERM labor certification timeline, which typically runs 12 to 18 months.
Prepare a project controls portfolio before offer stage
PERM requires the employer to document that the role demands your specific qualifications. Compile a portfolio showing earned value management, Primavera P6 scheduling, and cost forecasting on comparable-scale projects so BKF's HR team can tie your background directly to the position's posted requirements.
Understand DOL prevailing wage timing for consulting firms
For consulting employers like BKF, DOL prevailing wage determinations are tied to the project site location, not the office address. If your role spans multiple project sites, confirm with the hiring team which primary worksite DOL will use, since this affects wage level classification and PERM processing.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open roles at BKF Engineers
Project Controls Manager openings at BKF Engineers are filterable by visa sponsorship type on Migrate Mate, letting you identify which postings align with EB-2 or EB-3 pathways before you invest time in the application process.

Find Project Controls Manager at BKF Engineers JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does BKF Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Project Controls Managers?
BKF Engineers' sponsorship activity for Project Controls Manager roles is concentrated in the employment-based Green Card categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than H-1B. If you're currently on H-1B status through another employer and need a transfer, you'd want to confirm with BKF's HR team whether they'll support an H-1B transfer alongside or in place of a Green Card sponsorship track.
How do I apply for Project Controls Manager jobs at BKF Engineers?
You can browse and apply for Project Controls Manager openings at BKF Engineers directly through Migrate Mate, which filters for visa-sponsoring employers so you can confirm sponsorship eligibility before applying. When you apply, tailor your resume to reflect the scheduling tools, cost control methodologies, and project delivery experience BKF lists in the posting, since their consulting work demands demonstrated proficiency in civil infrastructure project controls.
Which visa categories does BKF Engineers use to sponsor Project Controls Managers?
BKF Engineers sponsors Project Controls Managers through employment-based immigrant visa categories, primarily EB-2 for candidates with advanced degrees or exceptional ability and EB-3 for professionals meeting standard degree requirements. Both pathways require PERM labor certification filed through DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition, so the sponsorship process begins well before you receive a Green Card.
What qualifications does BKF Engineers expect for Project Controls Manager roles?
BKF Engineers typically expects a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience managing schedules and budgets on infrastructure or land development projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is common across postings. Senior roles may require experience leading project controls teams and interfacing with public agency clients, which is standard for consulting firms operating in municipal and transportation markets.
How long does the Green Card sponsorship process take when hired by BKF Engineers?
For EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship at a consulting firm like BKF Engineers, you should plan for a multi-year process. PERM labor certification through DOL currently takes roughly 12 to 18 months, followed by USCIS adjudication of the I-140 immigrant petition. Actual Green Card issuance then depends on your country of birth and the priority date backlog tracked in the Visa Bulletin. Indian and Chinese nationals face significantly longer waits than applicants from other countries.
