Align your credentials to Turner's project types
Turner operates across healthcare, aviation, commercial, and federal construction markets. Tailor your resume to show cost control and scheduling experience on comparable large-scale programs. USCIS requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, so your degree field and job duties need to align clearly.
Pursue a PMP or PMI-SP certification early
Project Controls Manager roles at Turner often require demonstrated scheduling methodology, particularly on complex builds. Holding a PMI Scheduling Professional or PMP credential before you apply strengthens both your candidacy and your H-1B specialty occupation argument during USCIS adjudication.
Target Turner's regional offices with active builds
Turner staffs project controls at the project level, not just corporate. Research which regional offices are running active large-scale programs and apply directly to those locations. Project-based hiring means sponsorship decisions are often made closer to the site than at headquarters.
Browse open Project Controls Manager roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by Turner Construction Company on Migrate Mate to see which Project Controls Manager positions are currently listed and which visa types are supported. This saves time by surfacing only roles where international candidates are actively considered.
Clarify LCA coverage before accepting an offer
Turner's project controls roles frequently require deployment across multiple job sites. Before signing, confirm your Labor Condition Application covers all expected work locations. The DOL requires a separate LCA posting for each worksite where you'll spend more than 30 consecutive workdays.

Find Project Controls Manager at Turner Construction Company JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Turner Construction Company sponsor H-1B visas for Project Controls Managers?
Yes, Turner Construction Company sponsors H-1B visas for Project Controls Manager roles. The company has an established pattern of supporting work visa petitions for technical construction professionals. Because Project Controls Manager positions require specialized knowledge in cost engineering, scheduling, or earned value management, they typically meet USCIS specialty occupation requirements, which is a core eligibility threshold for H-1B approval.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Controls Manager roles at Turner Construction Company?
Turner Construction Company sponsors several visa categories for this role, including H-1B, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals under USMCA, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card pathways for longer-term employment. Candidates currently on F-1 OPT or CPT may also be eligible. The right visa type depends on your nationality, education, and career stage.
What qualifications and experience does Turner Construction Company expect for Project Controls Manager positions?
Turner typically looks for candidates with a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, combined with hands-on experience in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. Experience managing cost forecasting, change control, and earned value analysis on large commercial or infrastructure programs is strongly preferred. Relevant certifications like PMP or PMI-SP strengthen your application considerably.
How do I apply for Project Controls Manager jobs at Turner Construction Company?
You can search and apply through Turner's careers portal directly, or use Migrate Mate to browse open Project Controls Manager roles at Turner that explicitly support visa sponsorship. When applying, highlight your relevant cost control and scheduling experience upfront, and indicate your visa status clearly so Turner's HR team can route your application appropriately from the start.
How do I plan my timeline if Turner Construction Company sponsors my visa for a Project Controls Manager role?
If you're pursuing an H-1B, USCIS registration opens in March and the earliest start date is October 1. Build your job search timeline backward from that window. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm how much authorized work time remains and whether you qualify for the 24-month STEM OPT extension, which can provide critical bridge time while your petition is processed.
