Tips for Finding Program Manager Jobs at BKF Engineers
Frame your credentials around ASCE standards
BKF Engineers operates in civil infrastructure consulting, so PE licensure or active progress toward it signals readiness. Organize your credential documentation to show how your engineering background maps directly to U.S. professional standards before you apply.
Target BKF's infrastructure practice areas first
Program Manager openings at BKF tend to sit within land development, transportation, or utility infrastructure. Filtering your search by these practice areas puts you in front of roles where your background is most likely to align with an active sponsorship need.
Search open Program Manager roles on Migrate Mate
BKF Engineers lists Program Manager positions with visa sponsorship noted directly. Browse current openings on Migrate Mate to identify which practice areas are actively hiring before you reach out to the company's recruiting team.
Understand what EB-2 and EB-3 require upfront
BKF sponsors through employment-based Green Card pathways, which involve a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before a petition reaches USCIS. This process typically takes one to three years, so ask about where the employer is in that cycle during your offer conversations.
Raise sponsorship after a conditional offer is on the table
In consulting environments like BKF, hiring managers evaluate technical and client-facing fit first. Bringing up immigration requirements after you've demonstrated value in the interview process is more likely to result in a productive sponsorship conversation than raising it early.
Clarify your priority date strategy before signing
If your home country has a backlogged visa preference category, confirm with BKF's immigration counsel whether your EB-2 or EB-3 filing will reflect the earliest defensible priority date. USCIS priority dates directly affect how long you'll wait for a Green Card to become current.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does BKF Engineers sponsor H-1B visas for Program Managers?
BKF Engineers' documented sponsorship activity for Program Manager roles centers on employment-based Green Card pathways rather than H-1B visas. If you're currently in H-1B status through another employer and targeting BKF, confirm with their HR team whether an H-1B transfer is possible alongside or before initiating a Green Card process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Program Manager roles at BKF Engineers?
BKF Engineers sponsors Program Managers through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigrant visa categories. EB-2 applies when the role requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability, while EB-3 covers positions requiring at least a bachelor's degree. Both pathways involve a PERM labor certification filed with the DOL before USCIS adjudicates the immigrant petition.
What qualifications does BKF Engineers expect for Program Manager roles?
Program Manager candidates at BKF Engineers are typically expected to have a civil engineering or related technical degree, several years of project or program management experience in infrastructure consulting, and familiarity with client-facing delivery. PE licensure is a strong differentiator given BKF's focus on land development, transportation, and utility projects across California and the Southwest.
How do I apply for Program Manager jobs at BKF Engineers?
Browse current Program Manager openings at BKF Engineers on Migrate Mate, where roles with visa sponsorship are surfaced directly for international candidates. Once you identify a relevant opening, apply through BKF's careers portal and tailor your resume to reflect infrastructure project scope, client management experience, and any U.S. licensure credentials you hold or are pursuing.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Program Manager at BKF Engineers?
Because BKF sponsors through EB-2 and EB-3 pathways, the timeline is longer than an H-1B transfer. PERM labor certification with the DOL alone can take six months to over a year, followed by USCIS petition adjudication. Candidates from high-demand countries should also factor in visa bulletin priority date backlogs, which can add years before a Green Card becomes available.
