Align your portfolio with Bloomberg's data stack
Bloomberg's analytics engineering work centers on large-scale financial data pipelines and internal tooling. Tailor your portfolio to show dbt, SQL, and Python experience applied to time-series or market data, not generic retail or web analytics use cases.
Target Bloomberg's financial data engineering teams
Bloomberg hires analytics engineers across multiple product verticals. Roles tied to Terminal data, pricing feeds, or risk analytics are the most active for this function. Filter your search by team context in job descriptions, not just title.
Verify your visa type matches Bloomberg's sponsorship scope
Bloomberg sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for technical roles. If you're on OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility before applying so your available work authorization window aligns with Bloomberg's typical offer-to-start timeline.
Prepare your specialty occupation documentation early
For H-1B sponsorship, USCIS requires evidence that the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Analytics Engineer positions typically qualify under computer science or information systems, but gather your transcripts and degree equivalency documents before receiving an offer.
Find visa-sponsoring Analytics Engineer roles on Migrate Mate
Searching broadly for analytics roles wastes time on employers who won't sponsor. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Analytics Engineer openings at Bloomberg and other confirmed sponsors, so every application targets a viable opportunity.

Find Analytics Engineer at Bloomberg JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Bloomberg sponsor H-1B visas for Analytics Engineers?
Yes, Bloomberg sponsors H-1B visas for Analytics Engineer roles. Analytics engineering sits squarely within specialty occupation territory under USCIS criteria, typically supported by a computer science, information systems, or related degree. Bloomberg participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery, so candidates on OPT should plan their timeline around the April filing window and the October 1 start date.
How do I apply for Analytics Engineer jobs at Bloomberg?
Applications go through Bloomberg's careers portal. Roles are posted by team and product area, so search specifically for Analytics Engineer titles rather than browsing broadly. Tailoring your resume to Bloomberg's data infrastructure context, particularly experience with large-scale pipelines and financial or market data, strengthens your application. You can also browse confirmed openings through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles with active visa sponsorship.
Which visa types does Bloomberg sponsor for Analytics Engineer roles?
Bloomberg sponsors H-1B, H-1B1, and E-3 visas for technical roles including Analytics Engineers, along with Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based categories. Australian citizens benefit from the E-3 pathway, which has no lottery and allows year-round filing. H-1B1 is available to Chilean and Singaporean nationals. Each visa type has distinct eligibility requirements and filing timelines worth confirming with Bloomberg's immigration team during the offer stage.
What qualifications does Bloomberg expect for Analytics Engineer candidates?
Bloomberg typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Practical experience with SQL, Python, and data pipeline tooling such as dbt or Airflow is expected. Familiarity with financial data concepts, whether from prior fintech, trading, or data infrastructure work, distinguishes candidates. For visa sponsorship purposes, your degree must align with the specialty occupation standard USCIS applies to the role.
How does the visa sponsorship process typically work after Bloomberg extends an offer?
Once Bloomberg extends an offer, their legal or HR team initiates the sponsorship process. For H-1B, Bloomberg files a Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the I-129 petition to USCIS. If you're subject to the cap lottery, Bloomberg registers you in March for an October start. For E-3 or H-1B1 holders, Bloomberg can file outside the cap on a rolling basis, which shortens the timeline considerably.
