Frame your portfolio around manufacturing data
Micron prioritizes Analytics Engineers who can demonstrate experience with large-scale operational datasets. Tailor your portfolio to show pipeline work, yield analysis, or supply chain metrics rather than general business intelligence projects.
Target roles tied to U.S. fab locations
Micron's U.S. manufacturing sites in Idaho, Virginia, and New York drive significant analytics hiring. Roles attached to fab operations often have stronger sponsorship urgency than corporate or back-office analytics positions.

Find Analytics Engineer at Micron Technology JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Micron Technology sponsor H-1B visas for Analytics Engineers?
Yes, Micron Technology sponsors H-1B visas for Analytics Engineer roles. The company participates in the annual H-1B lottery each April and also sponsors H-1B1 visas for eligible nationals. If you're already in H-1B status with another employer, Micron can file an H-1B transfer, letting you start work as soon as USCIS receives the petition.
How do I apply for Analytics Engineer jobs at Micron Technology?
Apply directly through Micron's careers portal, where Analytics Engineer roles are listed by location and business unit. Before applying, review the job description carefully for stack requirements like dbt, Snowflake, or Python. You can also browse Micron's open Analytics Engineer positions with visa sponsorship on Migrate Mate, which filters roles specifically for candidates who need work authorization.
Which visa types does Micron Technology use for Analytics Engineers?
Micron sponsors H-1B and H-1B1 visas for nonimmigrant work authorization, with the H-1B1 available to Australian and Chilean nationals as an alternative to the H-1B lottery. For permanent residence, Micron files EB-2 and EB-3 petitions through the DOL PERM labor certification process, making it one of the few semiconductor employers that actively supports the full immigration pathway for this function.
What qualifications does Micron expect for Analytics Engineer roles?
Micron typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data engineering, statistics, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools, specifically SQL, Python, dbt, and a cloud warehouse such as Snowflake or Databricks, is consistently listed. Roles tied to manufacturing or fab operations may also expect familiarity with time-series data, sensor outputs, or yield analytics.
How long does the sponsorship process take for an Analytics Engineer at Micron?
For an H-1B transfer or cap-exempt filing, USCIS standard processing runs three to six months, with premium processing available to reduce this to about 15 business days. For new H-1B registrations, the lottery runs each March with an October 1 start date if selected. EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship adds the DOL PERM stage, which typically takes six to twelve months before Micron can file the I-140 petition.
