Align your background to Micron's customer base
Micron's Customer Success roles support memory and storage solutions sold to cloud providers, OEMs, and enterprise clients. Framing prior experience around technical account management or hardware lifecycle support signals direct fit before your application even reaches a recruiter.
Confirm the role qualifies as a specialty occupation
H-1B eligibility requires the position to demand a specific bachelor's degree field. Customer Success roles at technology hardware companies often require degrees in engineering, computer science, or business information systems. Verify the job posting's degree language matches your credentials before applying.
Target postings that list explicit sponsorship eligibility
Micron posts Customer Success roles across multiple locations, and sponsorship availability can vary by position. Filter for roles that explicitly state visa sponsorship is available, then use Migrate Mate to surface those postings without sifting through listings that won't move forward.
Prepare your credential documentation before offers advance
Micron operates in a highly technical industry, so gather official transcripts, any relevant certifications, and employment verification letters early. Delays in assembling documents after an offer is extended can push your I-129 filing outside your current status window.
Understand how Micron's fiscal calendar affects hiring timelines
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed by April 1 for an October 1 start. If you receive an offer in Q2 or Q3, confirm with your hiring manager whether the role can proceed under a cap-exempt route or will wait for the following H-1B registration cycle.
Request LCA details once you reach the offer stage
Before your employer files the Labor Condition Application with DOL, confirm the prevailing wage level assigned to your role. Customer Success positions in the semiconductor industry are commonly classified at wage levels that affect both your offer negotiation and your USCIS petition.

Does Micron Technology sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Success?
Yes. Micron Technology sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Success roles and has done so consistently across recent hiring cycles. Sponsorship is not guaranteed for every posting, so look for listings that explicitly confirm eligibility. Roles that require a specific technical or business degree field are the strongest candidates for H-1B qualification under the specialty occupation standard.
How do I apply for Customer Success jobs at Micron Technology?
Applications go through Micron's careers portal. Browse open Customer Success positions, tailor your resume to reflect experience with hardware or semiconductor products, and address visa sponsorship in your application or initial recruiter screen. Migrate Mate lets you filter Micron's Customer Success postings by visa sponsorship availability so you can focus only on roles that are a practical fit.
Which visa types does Micron Technology use for Customer Success roles?
Micron sponsors H-1B visas for most professional hires, including Customer Success. The company also sponsors H-1B1 visas for eligible Chilean and Singaporean nationals, and supports employment-based Green Card pathways including EB-2 and EB-3 for longer-term employees. The visa type used depends on your nationality, degree field, and the specific role's classification.
What qualifications does Micron Technology expect for Customer Success roles?
Most Customer Success positions at Micron require a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related technical field. Practical experience supporting enterprise or OEM accounts, particularly in hardware or semiconductor environments, carries significant weight. Familiarity with memory, storage, or system-level solutions is a differentiator in this industry that generic software-background candidates won't have.
How do I time my application around H-1B filing deadlines?
The H-1B registration window opens in March each year, with cap-subject employment beginning October 1. If you're targeting a Micron Customer Success role, aim to have an offer in hand by early Q1 so your employer can register you in time. If you miss the cycle, ask whether your role qualifies for a cap-exempt filing or whether OPT extension options apply to your situation.
