Align your credentials to semiconductor finance
Micron's Finance teams work closely with capital-intensive manufacturing cycles and R&D cost structures. Framing your experience around fixed asset accounting, cost of goods analysis, or fab-related financial modeling signals you understand the business before the interview.
Target roles that map to H-1B specialty occupations
Finance roles like financial analyst, FP&A analyst, and treasury analyst have well-established specialty occupation precedents at USCIS. Positions framed as general accounting or bookkeeping carry more petition risk, so focus your applications on analytical and advisory finance titles.
Browse open Finance roles on Migrate Mate
Micron posts Finance openings across multiple locations, and availability shifts with headcount planning cycles. Use Migrate Mate to filter for Finance positions at Micron that are open to visa sponsorship so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already on the table.
Confirm your location matches Micron's LCA coverage
Micron operates sites in Boise, Manassas, and several other states. Your offer location determines the prevailing wage level on the Labor Condition Application filed with DOL, which affects your salary offer. Verify which site your role is tied to before you negotiate.
Prepare for H-1B cap timing if you're not already in status
If you're outside the U.S. or on a visa category that isn't cap-exempt, your start date depends on the April lottery and an October 1 start. Build this into your timeline when discussing offer timelines with Micron's recruiting team so expectations are set early.
Ask specifically about EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship during the offer stage
Micron sponsors both EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories for Finance professionals, but PERM-based sponsorship is typically initiated after you've demonstrated performance in role. Clarifying the company's internal policy and typical timeline during the offer stage helps you plan your long-term status correctly.

Find Finance at Micron Technology JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Micron Technology sponsor H-1B visas for Finance roles?
Yes, Micron Technology sponsors H-1B visas for Finance roles including financial analysts, FP&A professionals, and treasury analysts. Finance positions at Micron are structured around analytical and advisory functions that align with USCIS specialty occupation standards, making them well-suited for H-1B petitions. Sponsorship availability can vary by role level and location, so confirm directly during the recruiting process.
Which visa types does Micron Technology use for Finance professionals?
Micron sponsors H-1B visas for most Finance hires requiring work authorization. They also file H-1B1 petitions, which are available to nationals of Singapore and Chile. For long-term permanent residence, Micron has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories for Finance professionals, typically initiated through the PERM labor certification process after an employee establishes tenure in the role.
What qualifications does Micron Technology expect for Finance roles?
Most Finance roles at Micron require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field, with more senior positions often preferring an MBA or CPA. Practical experience with financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, or treasury operations in a manufacturing or technology company is valued. Familiarity with large ERP systems like SAP is commonly referenced in Micron's Finance job postings.
How do I apply for Finance jobs at Micron Technology?
You can find and apply for Finance roles at Micron through their careers site or through Migrate Mate, which filters for Micron Finance positions open to visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect experience with semiconductor or capital-intensive manufacturing finance where possible. Recruiting cycles for Finance at Micron tend to align with fiscal planning periods, so applications submitted earlier in a hiring window typically move faster.
How do I plan my timeline around Micron's H-1B sponsorship process?
If you're subject to the H-1B cap, USCIS opens registration in March for an April lottery, with approved petitions taking effect October 1. That means if you receive an offer outside of cap-exempt status, you could be waiting up to several months before your start date. Micron's recruiting team is experienced with this process, and most offers are structured to accommodate the gap between lottery selection and the October employment start.
