Frame EDA experience in your resume
Cadence recruits Customer Success candidates who can speak the language of chip design and electronic systems. Tailor your resume to highlight any exposure to EDA tools, VLSI workflows, or semiconductor customer environments before you apply.
Get your specialty occupation documentation ready
USCIS requires H-1B petitions to demonstrate a specialty occupation. For Customer Success roles at a software and hardware company, gather transcripts, degree evaluations, and any credentials that tie your technical background directly to the role's engineering-facing responsibilities.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Customer Success roles
Cadence posts Customer Success openings across regions and seniority levels, but they don't always stay live long. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Cadence roles that have an active sponsorship history so you're applying where it counts.
Confirm LCA filing details before your interview
Before your first interview round, check the DOL's public LCA disclosure data to understand which Cadence office locations have active Labor Condition Applications for Customer Success job titles. This tells you which sites are actively hiring with sponsorship intent.
Clarify Green Card sponsorship timing during the offer stage
Cadence sponsors both H-1B and employment-based Green Cards, but the PERM process takes time and varies by role level. Ask directly during the offer conversation whether the position is eligible for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship and what the typical timeline looks like.

Find Customer Success at Cadence Design Systems JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cadence Design Systems sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Success?
Yes, Cadence Design Systems sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Success roles. The company has a consistent history of filing H-1B petitions for this function, particularly for positions that involve supporting engineering teams using its EDA and semiconductor IP software. Your job title and degree field will need to satisfy USCIS specialty occupation requirements, so a technical background relevant to the role strengthens your petition significantly.
How do I apply for Customer Success jobs at Cadence Design Systems?
You can apply directly through Cadence's careers page or find open roles filtered by sponsorship eligibility on Migrate Mate. When applying, emphasize any experience working with EDA tools, semiconductor workflows, or technical customer-facing roles. Cadence typically runs multi-round interviews that include both technical product knowledge assessments and scenario-based customer success evaluations, so prepare for both dimensions.
Which visa types does Cadence Design Systems use for Customer Success roles?
Cadence sponsors H-1B visas for most foreign national hires in Customer Success and supports employment-based Green Card sponsorship through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories. H-1B is the most common path for early to mid-career professionals. For candidates already on OPT or STEM OPT, Cadence can bridge the gap while an H-1B petition is filed, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation under USCIS standards.
What qualifications does Cadence look for in Customer Success candidates?
Cadence typically hires Customer Success professionals with a technical degree, often in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field, combined with experience supporting enterprise software or hardware products. Familiarity with EDA tools or semiconductor design workflows is a strong differentiator. For senior roles, account management experience with engineering or R&D customers at companies like Intel, Qualcomm, or TSMC carries significant weight.
How do I time my application around H-1B filing deadlines?
USCIS opens H-1B registrations in March each year for an October 1 start date. If you're on OPT and targeting Cadence, aim to have an offer in hand by February so your employer can register you before the window closes. If you miss the lottery, USCIS allows employers to file cap-exempt petitions in limited circumstances, so ask Cadence's HR team whether any of their affiliated entities qualify.
