Frame your experience around biometric technology
CLEAR's customer service teams work directly with biometric enrollment and identity verification systems. Highlight any prior experience with hardware troubleshooting, kiosk support, or tech-assisted customer interactions to show you can handle the role's technical dimension.
Confirm your OPT timeline before applying
F-1 OPT gives you 12 months of work authorization, with a 24-month STEM extension if your degree qualifies. CLEAR's hiring cycle can take 4 to 8 weeks, so apply with enough runway to start and complete a standard probationary period without a gap.
Ask about sponsorship scope during the offer stage
CLEAR sponsors both nonimmigrant and immigrant visa categories for customer-facing roles. During negotiations, ask whether sponsorship includes PERM labor certification and EB-2 or EB-3 filings, not just near-term work authorization, so you understand your long-term path before signing.
Target airport and travel hub locations strategically
CLEAR operates primarily at airports and sports venues. Applying to locations in cities with high CLEAR traffic, such as major hub airports, increases your odds of finding active headcount. USCIS also processes petitions tied to the employer's primary worksite, so location affects your petition address.
Use Migrate Mate to filter CLEAR's open Customer Service roles by visa type
Not every open role at CLEAR is actively sponsoring the same visa categories. Use Migrate Mate to identify which Customer Service positions at CLEAR align with your current status and sponsorship needs before submitting an application.
Verify E-Verify enrollment before your start date
CLEAR participates in E-Verify, which cross-checks your work authorization documents with DHS and SSA records within three business days of your first day. Ensure your I-9 documents are current and your USCIS records accurately reflect your status to avoid a tentative non-confirmation.

Find Customer Service at CLEAR JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does CLEAR sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Service?
CLEAR's H-1B sponsorship activity is concentrated in roles that meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, meaning the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Most frontline Customer Service roles at CLEAR do not qualify under that definition, but supervisory, training, or workforce operations positions within the customer service function may meet the threshold depending on how the role is structured.
Which visa types are commonly used for Customer Service roles at CLEAR?
F-1 OPT and F-1 CPT are the most accessible entry points for international students targeting Customer Service positions at CLEAR, since no separate petition is required before starting work. TN status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professional categories. For longer-term authorization, CLEAR has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, which involve PERM labor certification filed through the DOL.
What qualifications or experience does CLEAR expect for Customer Service roles?
CLEAR's Customer Service hiring emphasizes member-facing experience in high-volume or technology-assisted environments, such as airports, hospitality, or retail tech. Familiarity with biometric enrollment processes, de-escalation in fast-paced settings, and comfort operating hardware are recurring themes in their job postings. A formal degree is generally not required for frontline positions, though supervisory roles may expect additional credentials.
How do I apply for Customer Service jobs at CLEAR?
You can browse CLEAR's open Customer Service positions directly through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. Once you identify a role, applications go through CLEAR's careers portal. Response timelines vary by location, but most candidates hear back within two to four weeks of submitting a complete application.
How do I plan my timeline if CLEAR needs to file for a work visa on my behalf?
If CLEAR agrees to sponsor you for a status change or new petition, factor in USCIS processing times, which range from a few weeks with premium processing to several months for standard service. PERM labor certification for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship can take six months to over a year before an I-140 petition is even filed. Start conversations about sponsorship scope early in the offer negotiation, not after you've signed.
