- Process new leases, contracts, drafts, and assignments including file setup, mapping, and computer input
- Recording, copying, and transmittal of correspondence to Houston Land Administration (HLA)
- Monthly review of calendars (obligations, rentals, expirations, elections, etc.) with Landmen
- Prepare check requests for assignments, agreements, etc.
- Prepare various monthly Land Reports
- Follow-up on inquiries from HLA and landowners
- Assist in preparation of various regulatory applications
- Title research and curative as directed by Landmen
- Assist in preparation of various documents
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of oil & gas land experience preferred
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to handle a heavy workload and meet critical deadlines
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn new software
- Knowledge of ArcView and Dwights PI is a plus
- Must possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience
