Target engineering and technical roles first
TechnipFMC's sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical disciplines, engineering, project management, and subsea systems. Focus your application on roles that clearly align with the company's energy technology core rather than general business functions.
Align your background with subsea or surface energy technology
TechnipFMC specializes in highly technical energy infrastructure. Candidates with experience in subsea engineering, flow assurance, or energy systems are far more competitive than generalists when visa sponsorship is part of the equation.
Apply before headcount windows close
Energy companies like TechnipFMC typically hire in defined project cycles. Applying early in Q1 or when a new project is announced improves your chances of landing a role with sponsorship budget still available for that hiring round.
Use verified sponsorship data to target your search
Not every open role at TechnipFMC will come with sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and identify which roles and locations are most likely to support H-1B or Green Card applications.
Prepare for a technically rigorous interview process
TechnipFMC's hiring bar for sponsored roles is high, expect domain-specific technical interviews. Demonstrating deep knowledge in energy systems or subsea technology signals that the sponsorship investment is justified, which matters to hiring managers.

Find TechnipFMC JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does TechnipFMC sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, TechnipFMC sponsors H-1B visas for qualified candidates in technical and engineering roles. The company has a consistent track record of H-1B filings, particularly for positions tied to its subsea and surface energy technology operations. Sponsorship is typically available for specialized roles where the required expertise aligns closely with the company's core business.
What visa types does TechnipFMC sponsor?
TechnipFMC sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based Green Cards, including EB-2 and EB-3 categories. This dual sponsorship track means eligible employees can potentially pursue a path from temporary work authorization to permanent residency, making TechnipFMC a stronger long-term option than employers who only support H-1B sponsorship.
Which departments or roles at TechnipFMC are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at TechnipFMC is most common in engineering and technical functions, including subsea systems engineering, project engineering, flow assurance, and related energy technology disciplines. Roles requiring specialized degrees in mechanical, petroleum, electrical, or chemical engineering tend to be the strongest candidates for H-1B and Green Card sponsorship given the company's operational focus.
How do I find visa-sponsored job openings at TechnipFMC?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find TechnipFMC roles that come with verified sponsorship history. Rather than sifting through job listings that don't disclose immigration support, Migrate Mate lets you filter by sponsor and visa type so you can focus your applications on positions with a real track record of H-1B or Green Card sponsorship at TechnipFMC specifically.
How do I approach the application timeline when targeting TechnipFMC for H-1B sponsorship?
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed in April for an October 1 start date, so your offer and employer paperwork need to be finalized well before the registration window opens in March. TechnipFMC's hiring cycles in energy often follow project demand, so targeting applications in Q1 gives you the best alignment between their hiring activity and the H-1B filing calendar.
