Target roles that align with E-3 eligibility
FCCI's sponsorship activity has included E-3 visas, which are exclusive to Australian citizens. If you hold Australian citizenship and have a background in insurance, underwriting, or actuarial science, prioritize roles in those specialty areas when applying.
Understand that insurance roles often require specialty occupation status
Positions like underwriter, actuary, risk analyst, and compliance officer typically qualify as specialty occupations. When applying to FCCI, frame your degree field and professional experience clearly to demonstrate you meet that threshold for the visa type you need.
Research FCCI's regional office locations before applying
FCCI operates across multiple states with regional underwriting offices. Sponsorship decisions are often made at the hiring manager level, so identifying which office posted the role and reaching out to the local team can improve your chances of a meaningful conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified sponsoring employers in insurance
If you're exploring options beyond FCCI, Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history across the insurance sector, helping you build a targeted list of employers with a track record of supporting international hires.
Be upfront about your visa type early in the process
FCCI is a mid-sized regional insurer, and its HR team handles sponsorship selectively. Disclosing your visa needs in the initial application or recruiter screen avoids wasted time and signals professionalism, which matters at companies where sponsorship involves direct leadership approval.
Align your application with FCCI's commercial lines focus
FCCI specializes in commercial insurance for industries like construction, trucking, and manufacturing. Candidates with domain knowledge in those sectors or experience in commercial underwriting, loss control, or claims management are more competitive for the roles most likely to receive sponsorship consideration.
