Target technical and engineering roles
Gray Construction's sponsorship history centers on specialty occupations in construction and real estate. Focus your application on roles like civil engineering, project management, or structural design where a degree-specific background supports the H-1B specialty occupation requirement.
Understand how TN visas fit construction roles
Gray Construction sponsors TN visas, which are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying professions. Engineers in construction often qualify under TN categories, making this a faster alternative to H-1B if you hold citizenship in either country.
Time your application around construction hiring cycles
Construction firms like Gray typically ramp up hiring before major project starts, often in late winter and early spring. Applying in that window increases your chances of landing a role before the H-1B cap season registration deadline in March.
Highlight project-specific technical skills in your application
Gray Construction values candidates who can contribute directly to active projects. Emphasize experience with construction management software, site coordination, or structural analysis to stand out. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history before applying.
Research Gray Construction's active project portfolio before your interview
Construction firms sponsor visa holders to fill gaps on specific projects. Reviewing Gray's current and upcoming developments signals genuine interest and helps you connect your skills to their immediate needs, strengthening your case for sponsorship.

Does Gray Construction sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Gray Construction sponsors H-1B visas. Their sponsorship activity is concentrated in construction and real estate roles that qualify as specialty occupations, typically requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as civil engineering or architecture. Candidates in technical roles are the most likely to be considered for H-1B sponsorship.
Which visa types does Gray Construction sponsor?
Gray Construction sponsors H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visas. This range suggests they hire at multiple stages, from international students completing degrees to experienced professionals. TN sponsorship is particularly relevant for Canadian and Mexican engineers, while OPT and CPT provide entry points for students already studying in the U.S.
What types of roles at Gray Construction are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Gray Construction is most common in technical and engineering disciplines tied to construction project delivery. Roles such as civil engineers, structural engineers, project engineers, and construction managers are typical candidates. Positions requiring specialized degree-based expertise are better positioned to meet the specialty occupation standard required for H-1B approval.
How do I find open roles at Gray Construction that offer visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most reliable way to find Gray Construction roles that include verified sponsorship history. Rather than sifting through generic job postings, Migrate Mate lets you filter by employer sponsorship track record so you can focus only on companies with a real history of filing for candidates in your visa category.
How do I approach the application timeline if I need H-1B sponsorship at Gray Construction?
The H-1B cap registration window opens in March each year, with employment typically starting October 1 if selected. To hit that timeline, you'd need a job offer confirmed by late February at the latest. Starting outreach to Gray Construction in the fall or early winter gives you the best chance of securing an offer before registration closes.
