Align your license with each state
Great Expressions operates across multiple states, so your mental health license needs to be valid where you'll actually work. Confirm which state the open role is in before applying and start the reciprocity or endorsement process early if you're not already licensed there.
Frame credentials for a dental healthcare setting
Position your clinical background around integrated or collaborative care models. Great Expressions embeds mental health support within a dental services environment, so highlighting experience with medically adjacent patient populations or care coordination strengthens your application considerably.
Clarify sponsorship intent before the first interview
Ask directly during recruiter screening whether the specific role supports H-1B or TN visa sponsorship. Not every position at a multi-site employer like Great Expressions has the same sponsorship approval, and surfacing this early prevents wasted time on both sides.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified sponsorship roles
Search for open mental health positions at Great Expressions through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where the employer has a documented sponsorship track record. This narrows your list to postings where visa support is a realistic outcome, not just a possibility.
Prepare your LCA documentation before the offer stage
Once an H-1B offer is on the table, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before USCIS can process the petition. Having your job description, specialty occupation evidence, and degree equivalency ready in advance avoids delays at this step.
Time your application around the H-1B cap window
If you're outside the U.S. or not currently in a cap-exempt institution, H-1B registration opens each March for an October 1 start date. Coordinate your application timeline with Great Expressions HR so the petition is ready to file immediately after selection.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Great Expressions Dental Centers sponsor H-1B visas for Mental Healths?
Yes, Great Expressions Dental Centers has sponsored H-1B visas for roles in its clinical and healthcare support functions, including mental health positions. Sponsorship availability depends on the specific role and location within their multi-state network, so confirm with the hiring team early in the process whether the position you're targeting is approved for H-1B support.
How do I apply for Mental Health jobs at Great Expressions Dental Centers?
Browse open mental health roles at Great Expressions Dental Centers directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces positions where the employer has a history of visa sponsorship. Once you identify a role, apply through the company's official careers portal and note your visa sponsorship needs during the recruiter screening call to confirm eligibility before advancing further in the process.
Which visa types does Great Expressions Dental Centers support for Mental Health roles?
Great Expressions Dental Centers has worked with H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa holders in healthcare roles. For mental health positions specifically, H-1B is the most common pathway for candidates requiring long-term employer sponsorship. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals whose role and credentials fall within eligible USMCA professional categories.
What qualifications does Great Expressions Dental Centers expect for Mental Health positions?
Mental health roles within a dental services organization typically require a relevant master's or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related clinical field, along with an active state license. Great Expressions serves patients across multiple states, so your license must be valid in the state where the role is based. Experience in integrated care or medically adjacent settings is a practical advantage.
How do I know if my visa type is compatible with a mental health role at Great Expressions Dental Centers before applying?
Your compatibility depends on both your current status and the specific position. F-1 OPT and CPT candidates should verify that the role qualifies as directly related to their degree field under USCIS guidelines. H-1B candidates should confirm the job meets specialty occupation standards. Reach out to the recruiter before your first interview to clarify sponsorship terms for that specific posting.
