Partnerships at Brex
The primary focus of the Partnerships team at Brex is to drive net new realized revenue. We originate, launch, and scale partnerships across emerging distribution channels, embedded models, and other strategic bets that accelerate Brex's growth trajectory.
As Brex nears $1B in revenue, we are building a best-in-class Partnerships organization grounded in clear priorities and disciplined execution. Every member of our team directly contributes to top-line growth by expanding Brex's reach across key ecosystems, from technology platforms to financial sponsors and investment firms who influence large customer networks.
Within Business Development, the Private Equity Channel team is responsible for building partnerships with PE firms to drive new customer growth, generate pipeline, and increase engagement and monetization of existing customers.
Over the past 12 months, Brex's PE channel hit an inflection point, turning Tier 1 private equity firms into active referral sources for their portfolio companies due to demonstrable ROI. That model was proven on the East Coast through consistent in-market presence: dinners, conferences, events, and the trust that compounds across repeated value-added touchpoints.
The West Coast is the next unlock. San Francisco and Los Angeles hold a dense concentration of Tier 1 sponsors and their portfolio companies. We're hiring a Partner Manager to own that book end-to-end to represent Brex across the West Coast PE ecosystem.
We are hiring a Partner Manager, Private Equity to support West Coast coverage for Brex's PE partnerships strategy. Based in San Francisco, you will serve as the in-market relationship builder for PE firms across San Francisco and Los Angeles.
This is an individual contributor role for an ambitious relationship builder who wants to grow in the PE ecosystem. You'll engage PE partners and portfolio-company executives professionally, generate pipeline through high-volume personalized outreach, and over time build a West Coast book of your own.
Where You'll Work
This role will be based in our SF office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a focused book of West Coast PE relationships across SF and LA. Be consistently in-market (dinners, coffees, industry events, and executive engagements) to build the trust that comes from value added touch points.
- Conduct introductory and qualification calls with PE firms, their portfolio companies, and active referrals to advance relationships and drive referral pipeline.
- Proactively generate new pipeline through outbound prospecting into West Coast PE firms and portfolio companies.
- Build and maintain a prioritized target list of West Coast firms and PE-backed companies using research, data tools, and internal inputs while tracking pipeline metrics and referral conversion through CRM.
- Collaborate with account executives to ensure timely follow-up on PE-sourced opportunities and support deal progression through close.
- Help produce marketing and engagement materials, run analysis on target firms and portfolios, support case study development for larger channel leverage, and oversee meeting agendas, partner summaries and talk tracks.
- Coordinate with Partner Marketing on event logistics, field events, and conferences targeting the West Coast PE ecosystem.
- Communicate partner insights, needs, and feedback internally to influence channel strategy and prioritization.
- Maintain clean and enriched CRM records across your book, including firm profiles, portfolio company contacts, and Brex relationship status.
- Support internal reporting, executive updates, and quarterly business reviews on West Coast channel performance.
- Analyze leading indicators such as meetings sourced, firms advanced to active-referring status, and referral conversion rates.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience in PE business development, sourcing, partnerships, or a related quota-carrying, relationship-driven role with exposure to the private equity ecosystem
- Established credibility in the private equity ecosystem; able to hold a room with partners and portfolio company executives from day one.
- Track record of success in outbound relationship development. Comfortable with high-volume, highly personalized outreach and motivated by pipeline-generation goals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple active firm relationships and workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present clearly to internal stakeholders and senior external counterparts.
- Based in San Francisco; comfortable being in-market multiple evenings per week for dinners, events, and networking.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment while staying tightly aligned with a remote team lead.
- High degree of professionalism and relationship instincts; able to build trust quickly with PE partners and cross-functional Brex teams.
Compensation
The expected OTE range for this role is $180,800 - $226,000. The starting wage will depend on a number of factors including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. The OTE figure listed here includes base salary and commissions, which may or may not be earned depending on performance. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.

Target engineering and product roles
Brex's Green Card sponsorship activity is concentrated in technical and product functions. Candidates applying for software engineering, data, or product management roles are best positioned to be considered for employer-sponsored Green Card filings.
Raise sponsorship early in the process
At fintech companies like Brex, immigration decisions happen at the offer stage. Asking about Green Card sponsorship policy during initial recruiter screens signals your intent and gives you accurate information before investing time in later interview rounds.
Understand that PERM takes time
The Green Card process at most employers starts with PERM labor certification, which can take a year or more before an I-140 petition is filed. Setting realistic timeline expectations with your Brex hiring contact early avoids surprises after you join.
Highlight specialized, hard-to-fill skills
Brex operates in a competitive fintech hiring market. Demonstrating specialized expertise in areas like financial infrastructure, compliance technology, or distributed systems strengthens your case as someone worth the employer investment a Green Card sponsorship requires.
Search verified sponsors to find open roles
Not every job board confirms which employers actually file Green Cards. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and find current Brex openings where Green Card support is a realistic outcome.
Build tenure before expecting sponsorship
Most Banking & Financial Services employers, including Brex, initiate Green Card filings after an employee has demonstrated consistent performance. Treating your first year as a period to build credibility within your team improves your chances when the sponsorship conversation begins.
Brex Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Brex sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Brex sponsors Green Card visas for eligible employees. Sponsorship is tied to specific roles and is not automatic for every hire. Candidates in technical, product, and finance functions are most likely to be considered. It's worth confirming sponsorship intent directly with the recruiter during the offer process.
Which roles and departments at Brex are most likely to receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Brex is most commonly associated with software engineering, data science, and product management roles. These positions tend to involve specialized skills that justify the employer investment required for a Green Card filing. Finance and compliance roles in the Banking & Financial Services division may also qualify depending on seniority and skill requirements.
How does the Green Card application process work at Brex?
Brex typically sponsors Green Cards through the employment-based EB-2 or EB-3 categories. The process begins with PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS. Brex's legal team or an outside immigration firm manages the filings on your behalf, but you'll need to provide supporting documentation throughout.
How long does the Green Card process take when sponsored by Brex?
The timeline depends on your country of birth and the visa category used. For applicants born outside high-demand countries, the process from PERM filing to Green Card approval can take two to four years. Applicants born in India or China face significantly longer waits due to per-country visa backlogs, sometimes extending a decade or more.
How do I find Green Card jobs at Brex on Migrate Mate?
Migrate Mate lists verified Green Card sponsoring employers, including Brex, so you can browse open roles with confirmed sponsorship history rather than guessing from a generic job board. Search for Brex on Migrate Mate to see current openings filtered by visa type, which helps you focus your application on roles where Green Card support is a realistic outcome.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Brex?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
