Target roles that skip PERM
Deutsche Bank files EB-1B petitions for researchers and EB-2 NIW petitions for roles of national importance, bypassing the PERM labor certification process entirely. If your background is in quantitative research or financial modeling, position yourself for these pathways from the start.
Align your degree to the EB pathway
EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability; EB-3 covers professionals with bachelor's degrees. Deutsche Bank's investment management and technology teams typically file EB-2 for roles needing specialized finance or engineering credentials, so a master's degree meaningfully affects which pathway your sponsor selects.
Verify prevailing wage before negotiating salary
Deutsche Bank's PERM filing requires your offered salary to meet or exceed the DOL prevailing wage for your role and location. Run your job title against the OFLC Wage Search before salary negotiations so you understand the floor your employer is already obligated to meet.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm Deutsche Bank's filing history
Before accepting an offer, verify that Deutsche Bank has an active Green Card sponsorship record in your specific job family. Migrate Mate surfaces DOL Labor Condition Application data by employer and occupation, so you can see which roles Deutsche Bank has historically sponsored rather than relying on recruiter assurances.
Ask about sponsorship timing during final-round interviews
Deutsche Bank's immigration policy typically ties Green Card initiation to a specific tenure milestone. Asking directly during offer negotiations, not after onboarding, lets you factor the waiting period into your H-1B or E-3 status planning and avoid a gap between status expiration and Green Card approval.
Document your O*NET occupation match early
PERM requires the offered role to match a defined occupation with demonstrable U.S. worker shortage. Pull your O*NET occupation profile before your first immigration attorney meeting at Deutsche Bank so you arrive with job duties already mapped to the correct occupational category and wage level.
Deutsche Bank Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Deutsche Bank sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Deutsche Bank sponsors Green Cards for qualifying employees in the United States. Sponsorship is most common in quantitative finance, technology, and investment management roles. The bank files under EB-2 and EB-3 preference categories, and in some cases pursues EB-1B for researchers, depending on the employee's credentials and role requirements.
Which Deutsche Bank departments typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Deutsche Bank is most active in technology infrastructure, quantitative research, asset management, and corporate finance. Roles requiring specialized financial modeling, software engineering, or data science credentials are the most common candidates. Front-office investment banking roles are sponsored less frequently than technology and operations positions.
How do I start the Green Card process at Deutsche Bank?
Sponsorship is initiated by Deutsche Bank's immigration team, not the employee. After reaching the employer's internal tenure threshold, your manager or HR partner submits a sponsorship request. USCIS and DOL then manage the PERM labor certification or preference petition process, depending on your designated EB category. You can use Migrate Mate to track your employer's filing patterns before that conversation.
How long does the Deutsche Bank Green Card process take?
Timeline depends on your EB category and country of birth. EB-2 PERM cases typically take one to three years from initiation to approval, excluding any visa backlog wait. Nationals from India or China face significantly longer waits due to per-country annual caps administered by USCIS. Planning your H-1B visa or E-3 visa extensions around this timeline is essential.
How do I find open Green Card sponsorship roles at Deutsche Bank?
Deutsche Bank posts roles openly, but not all listings specify Green Card sponsorship availability. Filter job searches by teams with historically active sponsorship records in technology and quantitative finance. Migrate Mate surfaces Deutsche Bank's DOL filing history by job family, so you can identify which role types have the strongest Green Card sponsorship track record before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Deutsche Bank?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
