Target roles that align with Nova Biomedical's core technology
Nova Biomedical's Green Card sponsorship tends to follow its product development priorities. Roles in biomedical engineering, chemistry, and instrumentation research are the most natural fit for sponsored positions, so align your application materials to those specializations.
Understand that Green Card sponsorship is employer-initiated
At Nova Biomedical, Green Card sponsorship typically begins after you've established yourself in an H-1B visa or other nonimmigrant status. Demonstrating long-term value to the company is often what triggers the employer to initiate the PERM labor certification process.
Ask about sponsorship intent during the offer stage
Green Card conversations are easier before you accept an offer than after. When negotiating with Nova Biomedical, ask directly whether the role is eligible for permanent residency sponsorship and what the company's standard timeline for initiating PERM looks like.
Use Migrate Mate to verify Nova Biomedical's sponsorship history
Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history before applying. Checking Nova Biomedical's profile gives you a clearer picture of which roles and departments have historically led to Green Card filings.
Position yourself for roles with specialized medical device expertise
Nova Biomedical operates in a highly regulated Medical Devices industry where niche technical skills are difficult to source domestically. Demonstrating rare expertise, such as point-of-care diagnostics or electrochemical sensor development, strengthens the PERM labor certification case for your role.
Plan for the multi-year Green Card timeline from day one
The PERM, I-140, and adjustment of status process can take several years, particularly for applicants from high-demand countries. Starting conversations with Nova Biomedical about sponsorship early in your employment gives you the longest possible runway.
Nova Biomedical Green Card Visa Sponsorship: Frequently Asked Questions
Does Nova Biomedical sponsor Green Card visas?
Yes, Nova Biomedical does sponsor Green Card visas. The company files a modest number of Green Card petitions annually, primarily for specialized roles in its Medical Devices operations. Sponsorship is selective rather than routine, so it tends to go to candidates in technical or scientific positions where the company has a demonstrable hiring need.
Which roles and departments at Nova Biomedical typically receive Green Card sponsorship?
Green Card sponsorship at Nova Biomedical is most common in technically specialized roles, including biomedical engineering, research and development, chemistry, and instrumentation. These are areas where the company's products require deep domain expertise that may not be readily available in the local labor market, which is a requirement the PERM process is designed to document.
How does the Green Card application process work at Nova Biomedical?
Nova Biomedical typically sponsors Green Cards through the employment-based preference categories, most commonly EB-2 or EB-3. The process starts with PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor, followed by an I-140 immigrant petition with USCIS, and finally adjustment of status or consular processing. The employer drives the PERM stage, so the process usually begins after you are already working there.
How long does the Green Card process take at Nova Biomedical?
The timeline depends primarily on your country of birth and which employment-based category applies to your role. PERM certification alone can take a year or more, and if you were born in a high-demand country such as India or China, visa backlogs at the priority date stage can extend the total wait significantly beyond that. Starting the process as early as possible in your employment is the most effective way to manage the timeline.
How do I improve my chances of getting Green Card sponsorship at Nova Biomedical?
Focus on roles where your technical background is genuinely difficult to replace, since Nova Biomedical's PERM filing requires demonstrating that no equally qualified U.S. worker is available. You can also use Migrate Mate to identify which roles at Nova Biomedical have historically led to Green Card sponsorship, so you apply to positions with a real precedent rather than guessing. Raising the sponsorship conversation early in the hiring process also signals that you are thinking long-term.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card sponsorship at Nova Biomedical?
Employers sponsoring a Green Card through the PERM labor certification process must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role. The Department of Labor determines this rate based on the specific job title, location, and experience level. The prevailing wage is locked in during the PERM filing and applies through the entire Green Card process. You can look up current rates using the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool.
