Position Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. Position Duties:
- Lead the development and implementation of efficient assembly line processes specifically for headlamp manufacturing
- Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams including design and manufacturing engineers based in Madison, Indiana
- Provide comprehensive engineering support throughout all stages of product development
- Champion continuous improvement projects by applying Kaizen and lean manufacturing principles
- Develop and execute strategic plans to reduce production costs and enhance overall productivity
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience with specific experience in headlamp assembly lines is required. Deep knowledge of Kaizen and lean manufacturing methodologies with a proven track record of implementing these principles to improve processes is necessary. Excellent communication skills
