Frame hospitality experience around guest-facing metrics
Highgate hires Customer Support staff who can demonstrate measurable impact on guest satisfaction. Before applying, document specific outcomes from prior hotel or service roles, like complaint resolution rates or upsell conversions, rather than listing job duties.
Target properties during pre-opening hiring cycles
Highgate regularly opens new properties and acquires existing hotels, creating concentrated hiring surges for Customer Support roles. Watching their portfolio announcements and applying during these windows puts you ahead of peak competition and often accelerates offer timelines.
Clarify your OPT start date before the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT, Highgate's HR teams will need your Employment Authorization Document start date to align your onboarding. Confirm your OPT authorization period with your DSO at least two weeks before you expect an offer, so there are no delays.
Ask specifically about E-3 sponsorship if you are Australian
Highgate sponsors the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and can be filed directly at a U.S. consulate. Australian candidates should raise this explicitly during the offer conversation, since recruiters in hospitality sometimes default to H-1B without considering faster alternatives.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Customer Support roles at Highgate Hotels
Highgate posts across multiple job boards, but not all listings signal sponsorship willingness. Migrate Mate filters specifically for Highgate Customer Support roles where sponsorship is confirmed, so you are not wasting applications on positions that exclude international candidates.
Align your H-1B timeline with Highgate's annual hiring patterns
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed with USCIS by April 1 for an October 1 start. Customer Support roles need specialty occupation framing, typically a relevant degree in hospitality management or business, so confirm your job description supports that classification before accepting an offer.

Does Highgate Hotels sponsor H-1B visas for Customer Support roles?
Yes, Highgate Hotels sponsors H-1B visas for Customer Support positions where the role meets USCIS specialty occupation standards, meaning the job typically requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as hospitality management or business. If your role qualifies, Highgate would file the H-1B petition on your behalf, covering USCIS filing fees as part of the sponsorship process.
How do I apply for Customer Support jobs at Highgate Hotels?
You can browse open Customer Support positions at Highgate Hotels directly through Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles where international sponsorship is confirmed. From there, apply through Highgate's standard hiring process, which typically includes a phone screen with a recruiter, a panel interview with property leadership, and a background check before an offer is extended.
Which visa types does Highgate Hotels commonly use for Customer Support roles?
Highgate Hotels supports several visa categories for Customer Support staff, including H-1B for degree-qualified professionals, E-3 for Australian citizens, TN for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying occupations, and F-1 OPT or CPT for current international students. For longer-term pathways, Highgate also sponsors EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card categories for eligible employees who have demonstrated sustained performance in their roles.
What qualifications does Highgate Hotels expect for Customer Support positions?
Highgate typically looks for candidates with prior hotel or guest-facing service experience, familiarity with property management systems, and strong communication skills across multiple channels. For visa sponsorship purposes, a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or a related field strengthens your application considerably, particularly for H-1B classification, where USCIS requires evidence that the role demands a specific academic background.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Customer Support role at Highgate Hotels?
Timeline depends on the visa type. E-3 and TN sponsorships can move quickly, often within a few weeks of an offer, since they do not require USCIS petition approval before you start working. H-1B sponsorship is more structured: the lottery opens in March, USCIS begins accepting petitions in April, and employment cannot begin until October 1 at the earliest. F-1 OPT authorization through your school's DSO typically takes three to five months to process.
