Align Your Credentials to U.S. Standards
Highgate hires for specialty occupation roles under the H-1B, so your degree needs to directly tie to the position. A hospitality management or hotel administration degree is the cleaner fit than a general business credential when consular officers review your case.
Target Highgate's Full-Service Urban Properties
Highgate concentrates its portfolio in major metro markets like New York, Miami, and Las Vegas. Roles at full-service hotels in those markets are more likely to require specialized expertise that supports a sponsorship case than limited-service suburban properties.
Get Your F-1 OPT Paperwork Moving Early
If you're on F-1 OPT, DSO authorization takes time and your clock is already running. Start conversations with Highgate's recruiting team well before OPT expiration so there's enough runway for them to file an H-1B or bridge you through CPT without a status gap.
Prepare for the PERM Timeline on Green Card Paths
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship through Highgate requires PERM labor certification through DOL before USCIS can adjudicate your petition. That process typically takes one to two years minimum, so raise long-term sponsorship intentions early in the hiring conversation, not after you've accepted an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to Find Open Roles Efficiently
Highgate posts hospitality roles across multiple properties at once, and openings move fast in peak hiring seasons. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Highgate positions that are open to visa sponsorship so you're applying to roles where sponsorship is already confirmed.

Find Hospitality at Highgate Hotels JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Highgate Hotels sponsor H-1B visas for Hospitality roles?
Yes, Highgate Hotels sponsors H-1B visas for Hospitality roles that qualify as specialty occupations, typically those requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field like hospitality management, hotel administration, or a similar discipline. Roles in operations management, revenue management, and food and beverage leadership are among the positions most commonly supported through H-1B sponsorship.
How do I apply for Hospitality jobs at Highgate Hotels?
You can find open Hospitality roles at Highgate Hotels through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions where visa sponsorship is available. When applying, tailor your resume to highlight experience with full-service hotel operations, as Highgate's portfolio skews toward upscale and lifestyle properties in major U.S. markets where that background is most relevant to their hiring needs.
Which visa types does Highgate Hotels commonly use for Hospitality roles?
Highgate Hotels sponsors several visa categories for Hospitality positions including H-1B, E-3 for Australian nationals, TN for Canadian and Mexican professionals in qualifying roles, H-2B for seasonal hospitality workers, and F-1 OPT and CPT for students. For longer-term paths, Highgate also supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for eligible candidates in more senior roles.
What qualifications does Highgate Hotels expect for sponsored Hospitality positions?
For visa-sponsored roles, Highgate typically expects a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, hotel administration, or a related field, paired with hands-on experience in full-service hotel environments. For specialty occupation visa categories like H-1B and E-3, the degree must directly relate to the specific role. Candidates with international hotel brand experience and fluency in a second language often have an edge for properties in gateway markets.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take when joining Highgate Hotels?
Timeline depends on the visa type. E-3 and TN sponsorships can move within weeks once your offer is in place. H-1B petitions are subject to USCIS lottery registration each March, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest, so timing your offer around that cycle matters. PERM-based Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3 typically takes two or more years from start to approval, depending on your country of birth and DOL adjudication times.
