Target clinical and allied health roles first
Holy Name Medical Center's sponsorship history is concentrated in healthcare-specific positions. Prioritize applications for clinical, nursing, therapy, and medical specialist roles where the medical center has demonstrated a pattern of sponsoring international candidates.
Understand which visa pathways are available
Holy Name Medical Center sponsors both H-1B and Green Card pathways, including EB-2 and EB-3 categories. If long-term U.S. residency is your goal, ask recruiters directly about permanent residence sponsorship during early conversations.
Align your specialty with their service lines
Research Holy Name Medical Center's clinical departments and specialty programs before applying. Matching your credentials to an active service line, such as oncology, cardiology, or rehabilitation, strengthens your case for sponsorship consideration.
Mention OPT or TN status early if applicable
Holy Name Medical Center has sponsored F-1 OPT and TN visa holders in addition to H-1B. If you're currently on OPT or eligible for TN status, make that clear upfront, it can simplify the employer's near-term sponsorship commitment.
Prepare your credentials for U.S. healthcare requirements
International healthcare professionals typically need credential evaluations, ECFMG certification, or state licensure before sponsorship proceeds. Have these documents in progress before applying, it signals readiness and removes a common hiring barrier.
Use Migrate Mate to confirm sponsorship history
Before investing time in an application, verify Holy Name Medical Center's actual sponsorship track record. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors with real filing history, so you can filter by visa type and target employers who genuinely sponsor.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Holy Name Medical Center sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Holy Name Medical Center sponsors H-1B visas. The medical center has a track record of supporting H-1B petitions for healthcare professionals in specialty occupation roles. Positions in clinical care, medical technology, and allied health are the most common pathways. If you're targeting an H-1B sponsorship, focus your application on roles that require a specific degree field and confirm the sponsorship process with HR during the interview stage.
What visa types does Holy Name Medical Center sponsor?
Holy Name Medical Center sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation workers, EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for permanent residence pathways, F-1 OPT for recent graduates completing practical training, F-1 CPT for students in work-integrated programs, and TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals. The combination of temporary and immigrant visa sponsorship makes the medical center a strong option for international candidates at multiple career stages.
Which roles at Holy Name Medical Center are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Holy Name Medical Center is concentrated in clinical and specialized healthcare roles, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical technologists, and pharmacists. Administrative or general support roles are less commonly sponsored. Roles requiring a specific degree in a healthcare discipline are best positioned for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship, given the specialty occupation and prevailing wage requirements both pathways involve.
How do I apply for a sponsored position at Holy Name Medical Center?
Start by identifying open roles that match your clinical credentials and visa eligibility. Apply through Holy Name Medical Center's careers portal and be transparent about your visa status and authorization needs in your cover letter or early communications. Once an offer is made, the medical center's HR or legal team typically manages the petition process. Using Migrate Mate to find and filter open roles by sponsorship history helps you target positions where sponsorship is already established practice.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take at Holy Name Medical Center?
Timelines depend on the visa type. H-1B sponsorship follows the annual April filing window, meaning an offer made in January could mean a September 1 start date unless premium processing is used. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card cases typically take one to several years depending on your country of birth and priority date. TN and OPT arrangements can move faster. Build these timelines into your conversations with Holy Name Medical Center's HR team from the start.
