We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician to support technologists and nursing staff during radiologic and interventional procedures. Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and coordinates activities during surgical procedures by anticipating staff needs and necessary supplies.
- Adheres to proper surgical procedures of aseptic technique and safety in the use of instruments and equipment.
- Maintains an accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments. Gathers supplies and instruments and assemble before procedures.
- Ensure that specimens are correctly handled and routed to the proper source.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school or GED
- BLS required
- Prefers a candidate actively enrolled as a student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program in preparation of registry (ARRT/ARDMS).
- Prefers knowledge of surgical and radiologic procedures
- I.V. certification is preferred
