Translate your electrical credentials for U.S. standards
If you hold trade certifications from outside the U.S., document how they map to NFPA 70 and NEC compliance requirements. IPS hires for high-voltage and industrial repair work, so highlighting relevant voltage ratings and equipment types strengthens your application.
Target IPS service center locations directly
Integrated Power Services operates regional service centers across manufacturing hubs. Applying to locations near industrial corridors increases your chances, since those centers carry heavier workloads and more consistent hiring activity for journeyman and master electrician roles.
Confirm TN eligibility before applying if you are Canadian or Mexican
The TN visa covers electricians under the USMCA trade agreement without a lottery or annual cap. If you qualify, IPS can move faster on your offer because there is no USCIS petition queue to navigate, which shortens your path to a start date.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open IPS electrician roles
IPS posts Electrician openings across multiple locations simultaneously. Use Migrate Mate to surface and filter those listings by visa sponsorship type so you are applying to roles already flagged as sponsorship-eligible rather than guessing from a general job board.
Prepare your I-9 documentation before your offer arrives
IPS participates in E-Verify, so employment verification happens immediately after hiring. Having your work authorization documents organized in advance avoids delays between offer acceptance and your first day, which matters especially if you are transitioning between OPT and H-1B status.
Time your H-1B filing around your OPT expiration date
If you are on F-1 OPT, your employer must file your H-1B petition before your OPT expires and ideally by the April 1 filing window for October 1 cap-subject employment. Confirm with IPS HR whether they engage outside immigration counsel to manage this timeline.

Find Electrician at Integrated Power Services JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Integrated Power Services sponsor H-1B visas for Electricians?
Yes, Integrated Power Services has sponsored H-1B visas for Electrician roles. Because electrician positions in an industrial service environment involve specialized technical work, they can qualify as specialty occupations under USCIS standards when the role requires a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Confirm sponsorship availability directly with the hiring team when you receive an offer, since sponsorship decisions are made on a per-role basis.
How do I apply for Electrician jobs at Integrated Power Services?
You can find open Electrician positions at Integrated Power Services through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters listings by visa sponsorship eligibility. When applying, tailor your resume to reflect industrial electrical work, high-voltage systems, and any NEC or NFPA 70 compliance experience. Follow up with the recruiting team to confirm which visa types they are prepared to sponsor for the specific role you are targeting.
Which visa types does Integrated Power Services commonly use for Electrician roles?
Integrated Power Services has worked with H-1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 CPT, and TN visa pathways for Electrician positions. TN is the fastest route for Canadian and Mexican nationals since it requires no lottery and no cap. F-1 OPT and CPT are practical for students completing electrical engineering or related programs, while H-1B is the standard long-term path for those outside TN eligibility.
What qualifications does Integrated Power Services expect for Electrician roles?
IPS Electrician roles typically require hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, including motor rewinding, switchgear, transformers, and high-voltage equipment common in manufacturing environments. A relevant degree, trade certification, or documented apprenticeship hours strengthens your candidacy. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, USCIS requires that the position demand a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a specific technical field, so framing your background against the job's technical requirements matters.
How long does the visa sponsorship process typically take for an Electrician at Integrated Power Services?
For TN visas, the process can be completed at the port of entry in a single day if your documentation is in order. F-1 OPT authorization is issued by your school's DSO and takes roughly three to five months to process through USCIS. H-1B sponsorship follows the annual cap cycle, with petitions filed by April 1 for an October 1 start date. Premium processing can reduce the USCIS adjudication window to around 15 business days.
