Align your portfolio to Iterable's stack
Iterable's backend runs on distributed messaging systems and high-throughput APIs. Before applying, make sure your GitHub or portfolio highlights experience with those patterns. Reviewers filter fast, and a mismatch in technical depth will end your candidacy before sponsorship is ever discussed.
Confirm sponsorship willingness before deep interviews
Ask the recruiter directly in the first call whether the specific Backend Software Developer role is open to H-1B candidates. Iterable has sponsored this function before, but not every open requisition carries the same budget or timeline for filing.
Understand what the LCA filing means for your offer
Before you sign an offer, confirm the prevailing wage tier in Iterable's San Francisco or remote work location. DOL requires your salary to meet the certified Labor Condition Application wage level, and that figure directly affects what Iterable will put in writing before H-1B filing.
Search Iterable's Backend roles on Migrate Mate
Filter by visa type and role function on Migrate Mate to surface Backend Software Developer openings at companies with Iterable's sponsorship profile. This narrows your search to employers who have actually filed for this function rather than those who list sponsorship as a vague possibility.
Prepare your credentials for EB-2 or EB-3 early
Iterable has filed employment-based Green Card petitions for engineering roles. If you're targeting permanent residence, gather your degree transcripts, foreign credential evaluations, and employment verification letters now. PERM labor certification timelines at DOL can stretch beyond a year, so earlier preparation matters.

Find Backend Software Developer at Iterable JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Iterable sponsor H-1B visas for Backend Software Developers?
Yes, Iterable has a track record of sponsoring H-1B visas for Backend Software Developer roles. Sponsorship is handled on a role-by-role basis, so you should confirm with the recruiter early in the process that the specific position you're interviewing for includes H-1B filing support. Iterable's engineering hiring has consistently included visa-eligible candidates.
Which visa types does Iterable commonly use for Backend Software Developer roles?
Iterable sponsors both H-1B nonimmigrant visas and employment-based immigrant visas, including EB-2 and EB-3 classifications, for Backend Software Developer positions. The H-1B is the most common path for initial work authorization, while EB-2 and EB-3 are relevant if you're pursuing a Green Card through PERM labor certification after establishing yourself in the role.
What qualifications does Iterable expect for Backend Software Developer roles?
Iterable typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B eligibility. Strong candidates demonstrate hands-on experience with distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and scalable data infrastructure. Familiarity with cloud environments and high-volume messaging systems is frequently emphasized in job descriptions for this function.
How do I apply for Backend Software Developer jobs at Iterable?
You can browse and apply for Backend Software Developer positions at Iterable through Migrate Mate, which aggregates open roles and filters by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm H-1B eligibility before applying. From there, the process typically moves through a recruiter screen, technical assessments focused on system design and coding, and a final panel interview with the engineering team.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Iterable to file an H-1B petition for me?
H-1B petitions for cap-subject candidates must be registered with USCIS in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer from Iterable outside that window, your start date will be delayed until the next fiscal year unless you're already H-1B eligible through a prior employer. Build at least six months of lead time into your job search to avoid gaps in work authorization.
