Tailor your resume to platform engineering
Iterable's Senior Software Engineering roles center on distributed systems, high-throughput messaging, and API design. Highlight experience with those domains specifically, a resume built around marketing infrastructure or event-driven architecture signals fit faster than a generic backend profile.
Verify your E-Verify enrollment before applying
Before advancing in any process, confirm Iterable is enrolled in E-Verify through the DOL's public database. E-Verify enrollment is a prerequisite for cap-exempt sponsorship situations and signals an employer's operational readiness to hire foreign nationals compliantly.
Clarify H-1B transfer timing in early conversations
If you're already on an H-1B with another employer, you can start working for Iterable as soon as USCIS receives the transfer petition, not after approval. Raise this portability window explicitly with the recruiter so neither side misunderstands your available start date.
Align your offer timeline with H-1B lottery registration
USCIS opens H-1B lottery registration each March for an October 1 start. If you're negotiating an offer in late winter, ask whether Iterable can register you in that cycle. Missing the window by a few weeks means waiting a full additional year.
Understand where EB-2 and EB-3 fit your profile
Senior Software Engineering roles often support both EB-2 and EB-3 PERM petitions depending on how the position is defined. If your degree is from outside the U.S., confirm with the hiring team whether your credentials satisfy the DOL's defined educational requirements for the specific job description.
Use Migrate Mate to find open roles efficiently
Filtering for Senior Software Engineering openings at visa-sponsoring companies manually is slow. Migrate Mate surfaces Iterable's current postings alongside its sponsorship history, so you can prioritize applications where sponsorship is already an established practice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Iterable sponsor H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineers?
Yes, Iterable sponsors H-1B visas for Senior Software Engineering roles. The company has a documented history of filing H-1B petitions for engineering positions, which reflects an internal process for managing sponsorship. If you're already on an H-1B, Iterable can file a transfer petition and you can begin working once USCIS receives it, not after final approval.
How do I apply for Senior Software Engineering jobs at Iterable?
You can find Iterable's open Senior Software Engineering roles through their careers page or through Migrate Mate, which filters specifically for positions at companies with an active sponsorship track record. When applying, make sure your resume reflects the platform and distributed systems work Iterable prioritizes. Bring up visa sponsorship needs early in the recruiter screen so there are no surprises later in the process.
Which visa types does Iterable commonly use for Senior Software Engineering hires?
Iterable sponsors both the H-1B visa and employment-based Green Cards, including EB-2 and EB-3 categories, for Senior Software Engineering roles. The H-1B is the standard starting point for most international hires. Green Card sponsorship through PERM typically begins after you've established yourself in the role, and the timeline depends on your country of birth and visa priority dates.
What qualifications does Iterable expect for Senior Software Engineering roles?
Iterable's Senior Software Engineering positions typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, which is also the baseline the DOL evaluates for specialty occupation status under the H-1B. Beyond credentials, Iterable emphasizes hands-on experience with distributed systems, backend services at scale, and API design. Prior work on marketing technology platforms or event-driven architectures tends to carry weight in their evaluation process.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Iterable to sponsor my H-1B from scratch?
If you don't currently hold an H-1B, you'll need to go through the annual lottery. USCIS accepts registrations each March, with an October 1 start date for selected applicants. That means if you receive an offer outside that window, work with Iterable's immigration team to plan around the next cycle. Selection isn't guaranteed, so some candidates pursue cap-exempt roles or alternative visa categories as a parallel path.
