Job Roles at Johnson Engineering Companies
How to Get Visa Sponsorship in Johnson Engineering Visa Sponsorship USA
Target roles that align with H-1B specialty occupation requirements
Johnson Engineering sponsors H-1B visas, which require a qualifying specialty occupation. Focus your application on technical or professional roles where a specific degree field is a genuine requirement, not just a preference, to strengthen your case.
Lean into consulting-specific skills that are hard to source domestically
Consulting and Professional Services firms sponsor visas when they can't find qualified local candidates. Highlight niche technical expertise, industry certifications, or sector-specific experience that demonstrates you bring something the domestic talent pool doesn't readily offer.
Understand the H-1B lottery timeline before applying
Johnson Engineering's sponsorship process is tied to the H-1B cap and lottery cycle. Applications open in March for an October start date. Knowing this calendar helps you time outreach and conversations with their hiring team strategically.
Position yourself for project-based consulting work
Engineering consulting firms typically hire around specific project pipelines and client needs. Frame your resume around deliverables and project outcomes rather than general responsibilities to match how consulting managers think about staffing.
Ask about sponsorship directly and early in the process
With a focused sponsorship track record, Johnson Engineering makes deliberate decisions about who it sponsors. Raise visa requirements respectfully in early conversations so both sides can assess fit before investing heavily in the interview process.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open roles with confirmed sponsorship history
Searching for consulting roles that genuinely sponsor takes time. Migrate Mate surfaces verified sponsors so you can filter by real sponsorship history and focus your efforts on companies like Johnson Engineering that have a documented track record.

Get Access To All JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Johnson Engineering sponsor H-1B visas?
Yes, Johnson Engineering sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying roles in its Consulting & Professional Services operations. The H-1B is the company's primary sponsorship pathway, so applicants should ensure their target role meets the specialty occupation standard, meaning it requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field.
What types of roles at Johnson Engineering are most likely to receive visa sponsorship?
Sponsorship at Johnson Engineering tends to align with technical and professional positions that require specialized expertise, consistent with what the H-1B specialty occupation standard demands. Engineering, project management, and analytical consulting roles are the most natural fit. Generalist or administrative positions are unlikely to qualify, as the degree-to-role connection must be direct and well-documented.
How do I find open sponsored positions at Johnson Engineering?
Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to find roles at companies with a verified H-1B sponsorship history like Johnson Engineering. You can filter by employer and visa type to surface active openings where sponsorship is a real possibility, rather than applying broadly and discovering late in the process that sponsorship isn't available.
What is the typical application and sponsorship timeline at a company like Johnson Engineering?
For H-1B sponsorship, the process is tied to USCIS's annual cap cycle. Employers must file petitions in April for a start date of October 1. That means you'll want an offer in hand by early spring. Allow time for the employer's legal team to prepare the Labor Condition Application and I-129 petition before the filing window opens.
How do I strengthen my application when targeting Johnson Engineering for visa sponsorship?
The most effective approach is demonstrating that your technical expertise directly maps to the role's requirements and that a U.S.-based equivalent is genuinely difficult to find. In Consulting & Professional Services, that means quantifiable project outcomes, relevant certifications, and a clear narrative connecting your degree to the specific work. Raising your visa situation early signals professionalism and helps avoid misaligned expectations.
