Verify your clinical credentials match New York requirements
New York State licensing boards govern who can practice in healthcare roles at Kaleida Health. Before applying, confirm your foreign credentials have been evaluated and that your license or certification is valid in New York, not just federally recognized.
Target roles with documented specialty occupation status
USCIS requires H-1B positions to qualify as specialty occupations. For healthcare roles, focus on positions requiring a specific clinical or technical degree, such as registered nursing, medical technology, or physical therapy, where the degree-to-job connection is clearly established.
Align your OPT or CPT timeline with Kaleida's hiring cycles
Kaleida Health hires on a rolling basis across its hospital network. If you're on F-1 OPT, apply early enough that your employment authorization covers onboarding, since healthcare credentialing and background checks can add weeks to your start date.
Understand how PERM affects your long-term visa path
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Kaleida Health must complete a DOL PERM labor certification before your immigrant petition can be filed. This process takes months, so raise your Green Card interest early in the offer negotiation rather than after you've already started.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open healthcare roles by visa type
Kaleida Health posts healthcare openings across multiple departments and locations. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for roles tied to the visa types you're eligible for, so you're targeting positions where sponsorship is already part of the hiring process.
Prepare for TN eligibility if you hold Canadian or Mexican citizenship
TN status covers specific healthcare occupations like medical technologists and physical therapists. If your role and degree fall within a qualifying TN category, this pathway avoids the H-1B lottery entirely and can be activated at the border or port of entry.

Find Healthcare at Kaleida Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Kaleida Health sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Kaleida Health has a history of sponsoring H-1B visas for healthcare professionals in qualifying specialty occupation roles. Positions must require a specific bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant clinical or technical field. Because healthcare roles often carry clear degree-to-job requirements, they tend to meet USCIS specialty occupation standards more straightforwardly than roles in some other industries.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Kaleida Health?
You can browse and apply for Kaleida Health healthcare openings directly through their careers portal. For a filtered view of roles that align with your visa type, Migrate Mate lists Kaleida Health positions alongside sponsorship details, so you can prioritize applications where your work authorization situation is already accounted for in the hiring process.
Which visa types are commonly used for Healthcare roles at Kaleida Health?
Kaleida Health sponsors across several visa categories for healthcare professionals. H-1B is common for clinical and technical roles that qualify as specialty occupations. F-1 OPT and CPT support students and recent graduates in eligible positions. TN is available to Canadian and Mexican citizens in specific healthcare occupations. EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa pathways are also available for candidates pursuing permanent residency through employment.
What qualifications are expected for Healthcare roles at Kaleida Health?
Requirements vary by role, but clinical positions typically require a relevant U.S.-recognized degree, New York State licensure or certification, and in many cases prior hospital or healthcare system experience. For H-1B sponsorship specifically, your degree must align directly with the duties of the role. Foreign degree equivalency evaluations from a recognized credential assessment service are often required if you completed your education outside the United States.
How do I time my application if I need H-1B sponsorship at Kaleida Health?
H-1B petitions can only be filed once a year, with USCIS accepting registrations in March for an October 1 start date. If you receive an offer from Kaleida Health outside that window, you and your employer need to plan for either a delayed start or a bridge through another status like OPT. Building this timeline into your offer conversation early avoids last-minute complications with your authorization.
