Align Your Credentials to FINRA Requirements
Kestra Financial operates within a broker-dealer network, so Financial Specialist candidates typically need Series 7 or Series 66 licenses. Confirm your exam eligibility and sponsorship pathway with FINRA before applying, since unlicensed candidates rarely progress past initial screening.
Target Kestra's Independent Advisor Support Functions
Kestra's Financial Specialist openings are concentrated in roles supporting independent registered investment advisors, not traditional retail banking. Tailor your resume to emphasize advisor services, portfolio operations, or back-office financial workflows relevant to an independent broker-dealer model.
Search Verified Visa-Sponsoring Financial Roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Financial Specialist openings at Kestra Financial that have an active visa sponsorship track record. This saves you from applying to postings where sponsorship is unlikely and focuses your effort on roles with a documented EB-2 or EB-3 pathway.
Understand the PERM Labor Certification Timeline
EB-2 and EB-3 sponsorship at Kestra requires DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS adjudicates your immigrant petition. The DOL PERM process alone can take six to twelve months, so raise this timeline with your hiring contact early in negotiations to avoid post-offer surprises.
Request Sponsor Confirmation Before Accepting an Offer
Holding company structures like Kestra's can complicate which legal entity actually files your petition. Before signing an offer, confirm in writing which Kestra subsidiary will act as the petitioning employer and that their legal team is already engaged with an immigration attorney.
Document Foreign Financial Credentials for USCIS Evaluation
If your finance degree is from outside the United States, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-member organization before your petition is filed. USCIS adjudicators reviewing EB-2 petitions for Financial Specialist roles scrutinize foreign degree equivalencies closely, and gaps here can trigger a Request for Evidence.

Find Financial Specialist at Kestra Financial JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Kestra Financial sponsor H-1B visas for Financial Specialists?
Kestra Financial's documented sponsorship activity for Financial Specialist roles has been under the employment-based immigrant visa categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3, rather than the H-1B nonimmigrant category. If you're seeking an H-1B, you'll want to clarify directly with Kestra's HR team whether that pathway is available for a specific opening, as sponsorship decisions can vary by role and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are commonly used for Financial Specialist roles at Kestra Financial?
Kestra Financial has sponsored Financial Specialists through the EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based Green Card categories. EB-2 applies to candidates with an advanced degree or exceptional ability in finance, while EB-3 covers professionals with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Both require DOL PERM labor certification and an approved I-140 petition before USCIS grants permanent residence.
What qualifications does Kestra Financial expect for Financial Specialist roles?
Kestra Financial typically expects a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field, along with relevant FINRA licensing such as Series 7 or Series 66. Given Kestra's focus on supporting independent registered investment advisors, prior experience in broker-dealer operations, wealth management platforms, or advisor services teams strengthens a candidate's profile considerably compared to generalist financial backgrounds.
How do I apply for Financial Specialist jobs at Kestra Financial?
You can find Financial Specialist openings at Kestra Financial through their careers portal and on Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship eligibility so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. When applying, highlight any FINRA licensing, advisor support experience, and your current work authorization status clearly in your application materials to accelerate the initial screening process.
How do I navigate the timeline from job offer to visa approval at Kestra Financial?
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, expect the process to span well over a year. DOL PERM labor certification takes six to twelve months, followed by USCIS adjudication of your I-140 petition, and then adjustment of status or consular processing depending on your current immigration situation. Confirming that Kestra's immigration counsel is prepared to begin PERM recruitment steps quickly after your start date is essential to keeping the process on track.
