Frame your credentials around financial services compliance
Kestra Financial operates within a regulated holding company structure, so your resume should highlight experience with broker-dealer operations, RIA platforms, or financial technology implementations. Generic consulting experience reads as a poor fit for this specific environment.
Clarify sponsorship intent before accepting a screen call
Holding companies often route sponsorship decisions through corporate legal teams rather than hiring managers. Ask your recruiter directly whether the Professional Services Consultant opening is approved for PERM-based sponsorship before investing time in the process.
Understand the PERM labor certification timeline
PERM filings with DOL typically take six to twelve months before an I-140 can be submitted. If you're on OPT or a time-limited visa, confirm your current authorized period covers the full PERM process before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to surface open Professional Services Consultant listings at Kestra
Kestra posts roles across multiple locations and business units. Search Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Professional Services Consultant openings tied to visa sponsorship, so you're applying to the right positions rather than guessing from a general careers page.
Prepare documentation of client delivery outcomes
Kestra's professional services function is results-oriented. For a PERM-supported offer, your employer will need to demonstrate the role requires your specific qualifications, so document quantifiable client outcomes and platform implementations before any labor certification filing begins.

Does Kestra Financial sponsor H-1B visas for Professional Services Consultants?
Kestra Financial's documented sponsorship activity for Professional Services Consultant roles falls primarily in the employment-based immigrant visa categories rather than the H-1B nonimmigrant category. If you're currently on H-1B status with another employer, a transfer to Kestra is possible, but confirm directly with their recruiting team whether H-1B transfers are supported for this specific role.
Which visa types are commonly used for Professional Services Consultant roles at Kestra Financial?
The visa sponsorship Kestra Financial has pursued for Professional Services Consultant positions centers on employment-based immigrant visa categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways. These require PERM labor certification filed with the DOL, followed by an I-140 petition with USCIS. Candidates with advanced degrees in finance or business administration are generally better positioned for the EB-2 category.
What qualifications or experience are expected for Professional Services Consultant roles at Kestra Financial?
Kestra Financial operates within the independent financial advisor and broker-dealer space, so Professional Services Consultants are expected to bring experience with financial technology platforms, RIA operations, or practice management workflows. A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field is a baseline expectation, with advanced degrees strengthening both your candidacy and your eligibility for EB-2 sponsorship.
How do I apply for Professional Services Consultant jobs at Kestra Financial?
You can browse current Professional Services Consultant openings at Kestra Financial through Migrate Mate, which filters for roles tied to visa sponsorship so you're not sifting through listings that won't support your immigration needs. Once you identify an opening, apply through Kestra's careers portal and flag your visa status early in the recruiter screening call to avoid wasted time on roles not approved for sponsorship.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Professional Services Consultant at Kestra Financial?
For EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship, the process begins with PERM labor certification, which typically runs six to twelve months at the DOL. After PERM approval, Kestra files an I-140 with USCIS. Depending on your country of birth and the visa bulletin, actual Green Card availability can extend well beyond the initial filings, so starting early and maintaining valid work authorization throughout is critical.
