Frame Your Credentials Around Financial Services Consulting
Kestra Financial sits in the financial services and wealth management space, so position your resume around advisory operations, financial analysis, or platform support work. Generic consulting experience reads weakly here; tie your background directly to independent advisor or broker-dealer environments.
Target Roles Aligned with Permanent Residency Pathways
Kestra Financial has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards for Consultant roles, meaning they engage with the PERM labor certification process. When evaluating open positions, prioritize roles with defined professional requirements, since PERM eligibility depends on the job meeting specific DOL criteria for minimum qualifications.
Browse Verified Sponsorship Roles on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to filter Consultant openings at Kestra Financial by visa type. This lets you confirm which specific roles have an active sponsorship history before you invest time applying, rather than discovering sponsorship limitations late in the process.
Clarify Sponsorship Scope Before Accepting an Offer
Not every Consultant role at a financial holding company will include both H-1B transfer support and Green Card filing. Before signing an offer, confirm in writing whether the company will sponsor permanent residency through PERM and at what point in your tenure that process would begin.
Prepare Documentation That Supports a Specialty Occupation Argument
For EB-2 or H-1B eligibility, your Consultant role must qualify as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Gather transcripts, professional certifications, and prior offer letters that demonstrate your role demands specialized financial or business expertise, not generalist skills.
Account for PERM Timeline When Evaluating Competing Offers
The PERM labor certification process typically takes 12 to 18 months before USCIS even receives your I-140 petition. If you're weighing Kestra Financial against other offers, factor this lead time into your decision, especially if your current visa status has a hard expiration window.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Kestra Financial sponsor H-1B visas for Consultants?
Kestra Financial's documented sponsorship activity for Consultant roles has focused on permanent residency categories, specifically EB-2 and EB-3 Green Cards through the PERM labor certification process. H-1B visa sponsorship is less clearly established for this function at the company. If you're currently on an H-1B and exploring a transfer, raise this directly with the recruiter early in the process so there are no surprises at the offer stage.
How do I apply for Consultant jobs at Kestra Financial?
Open Consultant positions at Kestra Financial are listed on their careers page and on job boards that index financial services roles. For visa sponsorship-specific filtering, Migrate Mate lets you browse Kestra Financial's Consultant openings by visa type, so you can identify roles with a sponsorship history before applying. Tailor your application to the company's independent advisor support model rather than submitting a generic consulting resume.
Which visa types are commonly used for Consultant roles at Kestra Financial?
The visa categories most relevant to Consultant roles at Kestra Financial are EB-2 and EB-3, both of which require the employer to complete PERM labor certification through the Department of Labor before filing an I-140 petition with USCIS. EB-2 is typically used for roles requiring advanced degrees or exceptional ability, while EB-3 applies to roles requiring a bachelor's degree. The right category depends on how the specific Consultant position is defined.
What qualifications does Kestra Financial expect for Consultant roles?
Kestra Financial's Consultant roles generally require a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field, with experience supporting financial advisors, broker-dealers, or wealth management platforms being a strong advantage. For sponsorship purposes, your qualifications need to align with the PERM job requirements, which means your degree field and work history should directly match the role's posted minimum requirements, not just broadly relate to financial services.
How long does the sponsorship process take for a Consultant role at Kestra Financial?
For Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, the PERM labor certification stage alone typically takes 12 to 18 months, followed by USCIS processing of the I-140 petition. Depending on your country of birth, priority date backlogs at the National Visa Center can extend the total timeline significantly beyond that. Most employers, including Kestra Financial, initiate PERM after you've been employed for at least one year, so plan for a multi-year process from your start date.
