Frame your credentials around supply chain outcomes
Cardinal Health's Consultant roles often focus on distribution network efficiency and healthcare logistics. Tailor your resume to highlight measurable improvements in procurement, inventory management, or process optimization so hiring managers see an immediate fit.
Target roles through Cardinal Health's internal job portal
Cardinal Health posts open Consultant positions directly on its careers site, and applying there puts your application into their ATS ahead of third-party aggregators. Filter by business segment to find roles aligned with distribution operations or managed care consulting.
Clarify TN eligibility before your offer stage
If you're Canadian or Mexican, TN status covers Management Consultant roles without lottery risk. Confirm the job description explicitly includes duties tied to a qualifying USMCA profession before the offer letter is drafted, since title alone does not guarantee eligibility.
Use Migrate Mate to identify which Cardinal Health Consultant openings are actively sponsoring
Not every open Consultant role at Cardinal Health will come with sponsorship. Search Migrate Mate's filtered job board to surface positions where Cardinal Health has indicated visa sponsorship availability, saving time you'd otherwise spend on manual outreach.
Prepare your OPT or CPT paperwork before accepting an offer
F-1 students accepting Consultant positions need a DSO-authorized work authorization update before their start date. The 60-day grace period does not provide work authorization, so coordinate with your university's international student office as soon as you enter offer negotiations.
Understand where the H-1B timeline intersects with Cardinal Health's hiring cycle
H-1B cap-subject petitions must be filed with USCIS by April 1 for an October 1 start. If you're interviewing in late summer for a Consultant role, discuss bridging options with Cardinal Health's HR team so your start date aligns with your authorized work period.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Consultants?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for Consultant roles. Their sponsorship history covers both cap-subject petitions and cap-exempt transfers for candidates already holding H-1B status with another employer. If you're targeting a Consultant position, confirm sponsorship availability with the recruiter early in the process, since not every open role is approved for sponsorship.
How do I apply for Consultant jobs at Cardinal Health?
Apply directly through Cardinal Health's careers portal at cardinalhealth.com/careers. Filter by job function or keyword to find active Consultant openings. You can also browse visa-sponsoring Consultant roles at Cardinal Health on Migrate Mate, which filters for positions where sponsorship has been confirmed. Tailor your application to the specific business segment, whether that's pharmaceutical distribution, medical products, or managed care.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly use for Consultant roles?
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas most frequently for Consultant positions and also supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in qualifying programs. TN status is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals in Management Consultant roles under USMCA. For long-term pathways, Cardinal Health has also filed EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant visa petitions, including PERM labor certifications through the DOL, for Consultant-level employees.
What qualifications does Cardinal Health expect for sponsored Consultant roles?
Most Consultant roles at Cardinal Health require a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, healthcare administration, or a related analytical field. Advanced degrees or MBA credentials strengthen H-1B specialty occupation eligibility. Practical experience in distribution operations, healthcare data analysis, or management consulting is weighted heavily. Candidates with backgrounds in process improvement frameworks like Lean or Six Sigma align well with Cardinal Health's operational focus.
How do I time my application to match Cardinal Health's H-1B sponsorship process?
USCIS opens H-1B registration each March for an October 1 start date. To meet that window, aim to secure an offer from Cardinal Health by February at the latest. If you already hold valid H-1B status elsewhere, a transfer petition can be filed at any time without the lottery. For OPT holders, your authorization period and any available STEM extension should be mapped against these dates before you start interviewing.
