Align your credentials to U.S. Healthcare standards
Cardinal Health operates within regulated healthcare and pharmaceutical distribution, so licensing boards and credential equivalency matter. If your degree is from outside the U.S., get it evaluated by a NACES-member organization before you apply, since hiring managers in clinical and pharmacy roles will ask.
Target roles tied to distribution operations
Cardinal Health's Healthcare headcount is concentrated in pharmacy, clinical logistics, and supply chain health services, not traditional hospital settings. Filter your search toward roles in those verticals, where the company's sponsorship activity is strongest and job openings cycle more consistently throughout the year.
Use Migrate Mate to surface active Healthcare openings
Cardinal Health posts Healthcare roles across multiple locations, and not all of them are flagged for sponsorship eligibility on general job boards. Browse Cardinal Health's verified sponsoring positions on Migrate Mate to focus only on roles where visa support is confirmed.
Start OPT early and flag your authorization timeline
F-1 OPT gives you up to 12 months of work authorization, with a 24-month STEM extension if your degree qualifies. Cardinal Health does hire OPT candidates, but be upfront with recruiters about your end date so they can plan an H-1B petition before the October 1 cap-subject start date.
Understand how PERM affects your green card timeline
If Cardinal Health extends you an offer with an EB-2 or EB-3 pathway, PERM labor certification is the first step, and it runs through the DOL before USCIS sees the petition. Depending on your country of birth, the wait for a visa number after approval can run years, so factor this into your long-term planning.
Negotiate the offer stage before H-1B filing begins
Once Cardinal Health's legal team initiates your H-1B petition, the wage level on the Labor Condition Application is locked. Before the offer is finalized, confirm your job title, duties, and salary align with the appropriate DOL prevailing wage level for your location so the LCA accurately reflects your role.

Find Healthcare at Cardinal Health JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Healthcares?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for Healthcare professionals, particularly in pharmacy, clinical operations, and health services roles tied to its distribution network. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery, so timing your application and having a confirmed offer well before the March registration window is essential.
How do I apply for Healthcare jobs at Cardinal Health?
Applications go through Cardinal Health's careers portal, where you can filter by function and location. For roles that include visa sponsorship, browsing through Migrate Mate narrows results to positions where sponsorship is confirmed, which saves time compared to applying broadly and asking about sponsorship during the screening call.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly use for Healthcare roles?
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation Healthcare roles and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in qualifying programs. For longer-term pathways, the company has used EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for healthcare professionals, running through DOL PERM labor certification before USCIS adjudication. TN visas are also available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible Healthcare occupations.
What qualifications does Cardinal Health expect for Healthcare roles?
Requirements vary by role, but most Healthcare positions call for a relevant degree in pharmacy, nursing, health sciences, or a related clinical field. Licensure or certification is often required for patient-facing or pharmacy-adjacent roles. Cardinal Health's Healthcare hiring is concentrated in operations and clinical support, so experience in regulated healthcare or pharmaceutical environments carries real weight.
How do I plan around visa processing timelines for a Healthcare offer at Cardinal Health?
If you're on F-1 OPT, flag your authorization end date to your recruiter early so the H-1B petition can be filed before the April 1 filing window. H-1B cap-subject approvals take effect October 1, so there can be a gap between your OPT expiration and your H-1B start date. USCIS premium processing, currently available for H-1B petitions, can reduce adjudication to 15 business days if Cardinal Health elects to use it.
