Align your credentials to regulated manufacturing standards
Cardinal Health operates in FDA-regulated environments, so certifications like Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or GMP training carry real weight. Having these documented before you apply positions you as hire-ready, not a training project.
Target roles with direct production or quality titles
Cardinal Health's manufacturing sponsorships cluster around hands-on production, quality engineering, and process improvement functions. Focus your search on titles like Manufacturing Engineer or Quality Systems Analyst rather than broader operations roles.
Confirm OPT eligibility before your first interview
Cardinal Health hires on F-1 OPT, including STEM OPT extensions for eligible engineering and sciences graduates. Verify your program's CIP code qualifies for the 24-month STEM extension before your interview so you can answer timeline questions confidently.
Browse Cardinal Health manufacturing openings on Migrate Mate
Filter by Manufacturing roles at Cardinal Health on Migrate Mate to surface positions where the company has actively sponsored visas. This saves time and surfaces roles with a verified sponsorship history rather than relying on job board listings that rarely include that context.
Clarify sponsorship scope during the offer stage
Ask the recruiter whether the role supports H-1B cap-subject filing or only internal transfers. Cardinal Health has both cap-exempt and cap-subject pathways depending on facility and role, and knowing which applies shapes your entire H-1B lottery timeline.
Prepare for PERM documentation early if you're targeting a Green Card
For EB-2 or EB-3 pathways, Cardinal Health initiates PERM labor certification through DOL. Gather your foreign degree equivalency evaluations and employment verification letters before the process starts, since delays in those documents can stall the entire filing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Cardinal Health sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturings?
Yes, Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying Manufacturing roles. The company participates in the annual H-1B cap lottery for new hires and also files for H-1B transfers for candidates already holding the status. Sponsorship eligibility depends on the specific role, facility, and whether the position meets USCIS specialty occupation requirements, which manufacturing engineering and quality roles typically satisfy.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Cardinal Health?
Apply directly through Cardinal Health's careers portal, and tailor your application to highlight regulated industry experience such as GMP, FDA compliance, or Lean manufacturing. You can also browse verified Manufacturing openings at Cardinal Health on Migrate Mate, which surfaces roles with a confirmed sponsorship history. During the application, be prepared to state your visa status and work authorization timeline upfront.
Which visa types does Cardinal Health commonly sponsor for Manufacturing roles?
Cardinal Health sponsors H-1B visas for specialty occupation manufacturing roles and supports F-1 OPT and CPT for students in engineering and technical programs. For longer-term pathways, the company files EB-2 and EB-3 immigrant petitions, which require PERM labor certification through the DOL. TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying manufacturing and engineering occupations.
What qualifications does Cardinal Health expect for sponsored Manufacturing roles?
Cardinal Health typically looks for a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, industrial technology, or a closely related field for sponsored positions. Hands-on experience in regulated manufacturing environments, particularly pharmaceutical or medical device production, is a strong differentiator. Familiarity with FDA quality systems, process validation, or supply chain operations relevant to healthcare distribution further strengthens your profile for roles where the company has historically sponsored.
How do I manage visa timing when accepting a Manufacturing offer at Cardinal Health?
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your remaining authorization window covers Cardinal Health's onboarding timeline and initiate STEM OPT extension paperwork with your DSO as early as possible. For H-1B cap filings, USCIS opens registration in March for an October 1 start date, so offers made outside that window may require a gap bridged by OPT. Align your start date discussion with the recruiter around these USCIS-defined deadlines.
