Align your credentials to U.S. manufacturing standards
Schneider Electric's manufacturing roles often require demonstrated expertise in systems like SCADA, PLC programming, or lean manufacturing methodologies. Document your hands-on experience with these tools specifically, since vague credentials won't support a specialty occupation classification under USCIS requirements.
Target Schneider Electric's production and energy facilities
Schneider Electric concentrates U.S. manufacturing hiring around its smart factory and energy management sites. Research which facilities have active production roles and apply directly to those locations, since sponsorship decisions are often made at the site or business unit level, not centrally.
Distinguish between E-3 and H-1B during your application
If you're an Australian citizen, the E-3 is a faster path with no lottery and a quicker consular processing timeline. Confirm early in your conversations with Schneider Electric's HR team which visa type they intend to file, so you can plan your start date realistically.
Expect a PERM process for Green Card sponsorship
For EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship, Schneider Electric must complete a DOL PERM labor certification before filing your immigrant petition. This process can take well over a year, so raise your long-term immigration goals with your hiring manager before accepting an offer.
Use Migrate Mate to find open manufacturing roles
Manufacturing positions at Schneider Electric that include visa sponsorship aren't always labeled clearly on general job boards. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Schneider Electric manufacturing roles that support H-1B, E-3, or Green Card sponsorship before you apply.
Prepare documentation before your offer letter arrives
Gather your degree transcripts, engineering licenses, and any certifications relevant to industrial manufacturing before Schneider Electric extends an offer. Delays in producing these documents slow the LCA filing with DOL, which must be certified before USCIS can process your H-1B petition.

Find Manufacturing at Schneider Electric JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for qualifying manufacturing positions, including roles in process engineering, production management, and quality systems. The role must meet USCIS's specialty occupation standard, meaning it requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific technical field directly related to the position. Your employer-of-record arrangement and job description both factor into USCIS's determination.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at Schneider Electric?
You can apply through Schneider Electric's careers portal or through Migrate Mate, which filters manufacturing roles at Schneider Electric that include visa sponsorship. When applying, tailor your resume to the specific facility and function, since hiring teams in manufacturing often evaluate candidates at the site level rather than through a centralized HR process.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric commonly use for Manufacturing roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for most manufacturing professionals, along with E-3 visas for Australian citizens in qualifying specialty occupation roles. For longer-term employees, the company also supports employer-sponsored Green Card pathways through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, which require a PERM labor certification filed with the Department of Labor before the immigrant petition can proceed.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for sponsored Manufacturing positions?
Schneider Electric's sponsored manufacturing roles typically require a bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with automation systems, lean manufacturing, or energy management platforms strengthens your candidacy significantly. Roles involving PLC programming or SCADA systems often carry additional technical screening before an offer is extended.
How do I plan my timeline around Schneider Electric's visa filing process?
For H-1B roles, your employer must file a Labor Condition Application with DOL before USCIS can process the petition, which adds several weeks to your start date. E-3 applicants can move faster through consular processing, often completing the process in four to eight weeks. If you're already in the U.S., a change of status adds complexity, so confirm your current visa situation with HR early in the offer process.
