Align Your Credentials to LCA Job Categories
TE Connectivity files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL that tie each role to a specific occupational category. Before applying, verify your degree and experience map to the SOC code listed for the manufacturing position, since misalignment is the most common reason petitions stall.
Target Facilities With Active Production Lines
TE Connectivity's manufacturing sponsorships tend to concentrate in facilities running active production rather than R&D-only sites. Search for openings tied to connector, sensor, or cable assembly operations, where demand for specialized process and quality engineers justifies the sponsorship investment.
Use Migrate Mate to Filter Verified Sponsorship Roles
Not every TE Connectivity manufacturing posting explicitly states visa sponsorship availability. Use Migrate Mate to surface roles at TE Connectivity confirmed to sponsor your specific visa type, so you apply where your status is already a fit rather than discovering it late in the process.
Document OPT Authorization Before Your Start Date
If you're on F-1 OPT, TE Connectivity's HR team will verify your EAD and E-Verify authorization before onboarding. Have your EAD card, I-20 with OPT endorsement, and USCIS approval notice ready to share immediately upon receiving an offer to avoid delays in your start date.
Prepare for PERM-Stage Documentation Early
For Green Card sponsorship through EB-2 or EB-3, TE Connectivity's legal team initiates PERM recruitment well before filing. Keep your educational transcripts, foreign degree equivalency evaluations, and employment history letters organized from day one, since PERM audits require documentation going back years.
Negotiate H-1B Filing Timing at the Offer Stage
H-1B cap-subject filings open each April for an October 1 start. If TE Connectivity extends an offer outside that window, ask HR whether a cap-exempt pathway applies or whether they can structure your start date to align with the next filing period.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TE Connectivity sponsor H-1B visas for Manufacturing roles?
Yes, TE Connectivity sponsors H-1B visas for Manufacturing positions, particularly for roles in process engineering, quality engineering, and manufacturing operations where a specialized degree is required. Sponsorship is handled through their internal immigration team in coordination with outside counsel. Cap-subject H-1B petitions follow the standard USCIS April filing window, so offer timing relative to the registration period matters.
How do I apply for Manufacturing jobs at TE Connectivity?
Applications go through TE Connectivity's careers portal. For international candidates, Migrate Mate is the most efficient way to identify which Manufacturing openings at TE Connectivity are actively sponsoring visas, filtering out roles where sponsorship is unavailable before you invest time in the application. Once you identify a fit, apply directly through the official TE Connectivity site and note your visa status in the application where prompted.
Which visa types does TE Connectivity commonly use for Manufacturing positions?
TE Connectivity supports several visa categories for Manufacturing hires, including H-1B for specialty occupation roles like process and quality engineering, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in manufacturing or engineering programs, TN visas for eligible Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering roles, and EB-2 or EB-3 Green Card sponsorship for longer-term hires where the role meets PERM eligibility requirements.
What qualifications does TE Connectivity expect for sponsored Manufacturing roles?
Most sponsored Manufacturing roles at TE Connectivity require a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a closely related field. Hands-on experience with connector, sensor, or cable assembly manufacturing processes is a strong differentiator. For H-1B eligibility, the role must qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning the degree requirement must be specific to the position, not just preferred.
How do I understand the timeline for visa sponsorship after receiving a Manufacturing offer from TE Connectivity?
Timeline depends on your visa type. F-1 OPT authorization typically processes in a few weeks through USCIS. H-1B cap-subject petitions require registration in March, with employment starting October 1 at the earliest. PERM-based Green Card cases can take one to three years depending on your country of birth and USCIS processing volumes. Clarify your target pathway with TE Connectivity's HR team at the offer stage so both parties align on a realistic start date.
