Frame Your PMP Around Hardware Programs
TE Connectivity's Project Manager roles center on new product introduction and manufacturing transitions for connectors and sensors. Tailor your resume to show program governance experience in electronics or industrial hardware, not just general project coordination.
Confirm LCA Wage Compliance Before Negotiating
TE Connectivity files a Labor Condition Application with the DOL before any H-1B petition. Check the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for prevailing wage levels tied to Project Manager roles at your target site so your salary expectations align with what the company can certify.
Target Sites With Active NPI Pipelines
Project Manager openings at TE Connectivity cluster around engineering and manufacturing hubs where new product introduction activity is highest. Prioritize locations with active connector or sensor development programs rather than applying broadly across all posted roles.
Use Migrate Mate to Surface Sponsorship-Confirmed Openings
Filter Project Manager roles at TE Connectivity by visa type on Migrate Mate to focus only on positions where sponsorship has been documented. This saves time you'd otherwise spend contacting recruiters to confirm eligibility before applying.
Prepare Cross-Functional Scope Evidence for Interviews
TE Connectivity's hiring panels for Project Manager roles typically probe your ability to coordinate across engineering, supply chain, and quality functions simultaneously. Document specific examples from electronics or hardware programs where you owned deliverables across those three functions.
Understand USCIS Cap Timing If You Need H-1B
If you're not already in H-1B status, TE Connectivity can only file a cap-subject petition once per year, with the registration window opening in March for an October 1 start. Factor the lottery timeline into your job search so you're not negotiating an offer you can't start for 12 months.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TE Connectivity sponsor H-1B visas for Project Managers?
Yes, TE Connectivity sponsors H-1B visas for Project Manager roles. The company files Labor Condition Applications with the DOL and submits I-129 petitions through USCIS for qualifying candidates. If you're subject to the H-1B cap, your petition would enter the annual lottery with an October 1 start date, so factoring that timeline into your offer negotiation matters.
How do I apply for Project Manager jobs at TE Connectivity?
Applications go through TE Connectivity's careers portal. To find roles already filtered for visa sponsorship eligibility, browse Migrate Mate, which surfaces TE Connectivity Project Manager openings where sponsorship has been documented. Tailor your application to highlight program management experience in electronics, hardware, or manufacturing environments, as those industries align closely with TE Connectivity's core business.
Which visa types does TE Connectivity commonly use for Project Manager roles?
TE Connectivity sponsors across several categories for Project Managers, including H-1B for specialty occupation workers, TN visa for Canadian and Mexican nationals working under USMCA professional categories, F-1 OPT and CPT for students in active programs, J-1 visa for exchange visitors, and EB-2 or EB-3 immigrant visa pathways for permanent residence. The appropriate category depends on your nationality, degree, and current immigration status.
What qualifications does TE Connectivity expect for a sponsored Project Manager role?
Most Project Manager roles at TE Connectivity require a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related technical field, which also satisfies the specialty occupation requirement for H-1B purposes. Practical experience managing new product introduction, cross-functional hardware programs, or manufacturing transitions carries significant weight. PMP certification strengthens an application but is not universally required across all posted roles.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Project Manager at TE Connectivity?
Timeline depends on visa type. H-1B cap cases require a March lottery registration and cannot start before October 1, meaning a six-month-plus gap between offer and start date. TN status can be obtained at a port of entry and takes days rather than months. USCIS premium processing for H-1B petitions shortens adjudication to 15 business days once filed, which TE Connectivity may elect to use to accelerate your start.
