Translate your credentials into hardware program language
TE Connectivity's PM hiring centers on connector, sensor, and harsh-environment product programs. Frame your resume around NPI cycles, BOMs, and hardware milestone gates rather than generic project delivery language before you apply.
Target open roles with international relocation scope
TE Connectivity posts Project Program Manager roles across global engineering hubs. Roles flagged for relocation or global customer accounts are more likely to have dedicated HR infrastructure for sponsorship processing already in place.
Secure your OPT extension before the offer stage
If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your STEM extension eligibility with your DSO before the offer conversation. Electronics and hardware qualify under STEM, giving you up to 24 additional months of work authorization while an H-1B petition moves forward.
Ask about LCA filing timelines during negotiation
Your H-1B sponsorship cannot begin until DOL certifies a Labor Condition Application for your specific worksite and wage level. Clarifying this timeline with your TE Connectivity recruiter protects your start date and avoids gaps in authorization.
Use Migrate Mate to identify open Project Program Manager roles
Filter by visa type and industry on Migrate Mate to surface active Project Program Manager openings at TE Connectivity. This lets you prioritize applications to roles where sponsorship is already part of the hiring workflow.
Align your PMP or CAPM certification to TE's qualification bar
TE Connectivity's Project Program Manager postings in electronics manufacturing frequently list formal PM certification as a differentiator. Completing or renewing your PMP before applying strengthens both your candidacy and your specialty occupation case for H-1B purposes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TE Connectivity sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes. TE Connectivity sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles as part of its broader international hiring practice in engineering and hardware operations. The process involves your employer filing a Labor Condition Application with the DOL and then submitting an I-129 petition to USCIS. Because TE Connectivity operates globally, its HR and immigration teams are familiar with handling these filings for program management functions.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at TE Connectivity?
H-1B is the most common pathway for Project Program Managers at TE Connectivity, given the specialty occupation requirement that aligns with engineering and technical program management degrees. F-1 OPT and CPT are used for early-career candidates, with STEM OPT extensions available since electronics hardware qualifies. TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican nationals under engineering or management consultant categories. EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card sponsorship is also available for longer-term placements.
What qualifications and experience does TE Connectivity expect for Project Program Manager roles?
TE Connectivity typically expects a bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline for Project Program Manager positions. Hands-on experience managing NPI programs, hardware product lifecycles, or cross-functional engineering teams in a manufacturing environment carries significant weight. Formal PM certification such as PMP is frequently listed as a differentiator. Candidates with experience in connector, sensor, or automotive electronics programs align most closely with TE's product portfolio.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at TE Connectivity?
You can browse active Project Program Manager openings at TE Connectivity through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa sponsorship type so you can confirm sponsorship availability before applying. Applications go through TE Connectivity's careers portal, where you'll submit your resume and complete initial screening questions. Roles vary by site and business unit, so reviewing the specific worksite location matters for understanding your LCA filing jurisdiction and prevailing wage level under DOL guidelines.
How long does the visa sponsorship process take for a Project Program Manager offer at TE Connectivity?
The timeline depends on your visa type. For H-1B, TE Connectivity must first secure DOL LCA certification, which takes around seven business days, before filing your I-129 with USCIS. Standard USCIS adjudication runs three to six months, though premium processing reduces this to roughly 15 business days. If you're transitioning from F-1 OPT, your existing work authorization covers you during the gap period. Planning around the April H-1B filing window is essential if you need cap-subject sponsorship.
