Align your credentials to Kiewit's project delivery model
Kiewit runs large-scale energy infrastructure projects that require demonstrated experience in EPC or construction program management. Frame your resume around scope control, schedule management, and cross-functional team leadership on capital projects, not general operations roles.
Target Kiewit's energy district offices directly
Kiewit operates through regional districts that staff their own Project Program Managers for energy work. Applying to district-level postings, rather than corporate-level roles, puts your application in front of the hiring managers who actually control headcount and sponsorship decisions.
Use Migrate Mate to filter open Kiewit roles by visa type
Filtering by sponsorship-confirmed employers saves time when you're targeting a specific company. Migrate Mate lets you browse open Project Program Manager positions at Kiewit and filter by the visa categories relevant to your status.
Prepare a specialty occupation justification for your role
USCIS requires H-1B petitions to demonstrate the role qualifies as a specialty occupation. For Project Program Manager positions, document that the role requires a specific bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, construction management, or a directly related field, not just general business education.
Understand how PERM timing affects your green card start date
If you're targeting EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship at Kiewit, your priority date is set when DOL receives the PERM application. Starting that conversation with your employer during your first or second year on H-1B gives you the most favorable position in the backlog queue.

Find Project Program Manager at Kiewit JobsFrequently Asked Questions
Does Kiewit sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes. Kiewit has a demonstrated history of filing H-1B petitions for Project Program Manager roles, particularly in its energy division. The role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a degree in engineering or construction management. Sponsorship is generally tied to a specific project need, so roles with active project backlogs are the most viable targets.
Which visa types are commonly used for Project Program Manager roles at Kiewit?
H-1B is the most common path for candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or another nonimmigrant status. Canadian and Mexican nationals working in qualifying engineering or management roles may be eligible for TN status. For longer-term U.S. residence, Kiewit has sponsored EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card petitions through PERM for employees in this function.
What qualifications and experience does Kiewit expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Kiewit typically expects a bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or construction management, combined with hands-on field or project controls experience on large capital energy projects. Experience with EPC project delivery, cost forecasting, and schedule management is weighted heavily. Candidates with power generation, transmission, or energy storage project backgrounds are well-positioned.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Kiewit?
Applications go through Kiewit's careers portal, where roles are posted by district and business unit. For international candidates seeking visa sponsorship, Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point, as it surfaces Kiewit's open Project Program Manager positions and filters by sponsorship eligibility so you can identify roles aligned with your visa category before applying directly.
How do I plan my timeline if I need Kiewit to sponsor my H-1B?
H-1B cap-subject petitions can only be filed once per year, with USCIS opening registration in early March for an October 1 start date. If you're on F-1 OPT, confirm your OPT expiration date and factor in the 60-day grace period. Raise sponsorship needs with Kiewit's recruiting team at least six months before your current work authorization expires to allow time for the petition process.
