Align your PMP credentials with Schneider's requirements
Schneider Electric consistently looks for PMP certification or equivalent formal project management credentials for these roles. Get certified before applying. Hiring managers in manufacturing operations treat it as a baseline filter, not a bonus.
Target Schneider's energy management and industrial divisions
Project Program Manager openings at Schneider concentrate in divisions tied to grid automation, industrial automation, and EcoStruxure platform delivery. Filtering your search by these business units puts you in front of the teams that hire most actively for this function.
Surface your cross-functional manufacturing experience early
Schneider's hiring panels for this role are looking for candidates who've coordinated between engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams in a manufacturing or industrial context. Lead with that in your resume and cover letter before the interview stage.
Understand how your visa type affects offer timing
H-1B cap-subject candidates need employer registration in March, which means Schneider must commit before the April lottery. If you're on OPT, your 60-day grace period creates a hard deadline. Clarify your status early so the recruiting team can plan the petition timeline around your situation.
Use Migrate Mate to find open Project Program Manager roles at Schneider Electric
Schneider posts these roles across multiple job boards, making it easy to miss openings that include sponsorship. Use Migrate Mate to filter specifically for Schneider Electric Project Program Manager positions that support visa sponsorship, so you're only applying where sponsorship is confirmed.
Ask about LCA filing timelines before accepting an offer
Before signing, confirm that Schneider's immigration team has started the Labor Condition Application with DOL. The LCA must be certified before your I-129 petition can be filed with USCIS. Delays here push your start date, which matters if you're transitioning between visa statuses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Schneider Electric sponsor H-1B visas for Project Program Managers?
Yes, Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for Project Program Manager roles. The company works with immigration counsel to file petitions and manages the LCA process through DOL before submitting to USCIS. If you're cap-subject, sponsorship requires timing your offer around the H-1B registration window in March each year.
Which visa types does Schneider Electric use for Project Program Manager roles?
Schneider Electric sponsors H-1B visas for most Project Program Manager hires, which covers the broadest range of nationalities. Australian citizens may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which avoids the H-1B lottery entirely. For candidates pursuing permanent residence, Schneider supports EB-2 and EB-3 Green Card pathways, typically after establishing tenure in the role.
How do I apply for Project Program Manager jobs at Schneider Electric?
Apply directly through Schneider Electric's careers portal, targeting roles in divisions like grid automation, industrial automation, or EcoStruxure. Tailor your application to show cross-functional program delivery experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. You can also browse verified sponsorship-eligible openings at Schneider Electric through Migrate Mate, which filters roles by visa type so you skip listings that don't include sponsorship.
What qualifications does Schneider Electric expect for Project Program Manager roles?
Schneider typically expects a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field, alongside PMP certification or demonstrated equivalent experience. Candidates who've managed large-scale, cross-functional programs in manufacturing, energy infrastructure, or industrial automation are strongly preferred. Familiarity with Agile or Stage-Gate delivery methodologies gives applicants a clear edge in screening.
How do I plan my timeline around Schneider Electric's visa sponsorship process?
Start conversations with Schneider's recruiting team about your visa status as early as the offer stage. H-1B petitions require a certified LCA from DOL before USCIS filing, which typically takes two to four weeks. Cap-subject candidates need offers in hand before the March registration window. If you're transitioning off OPT, confirm your 60-day grace period leaves enough runway for petition filing.
