INTRODUCTION

In this Staging Technician role, you will manage staging operations and support the successful execution of customer projects through equipment preparation, floor space coordination, system assembly, hardware verification, software installation and shipment readiness activities, while serving as the designated backup for Shipping and Receiving personnel. You will partner with Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations personnel to ensure efficient utilization of staging resources while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and reliability standards. You will play a critical role in supporting system integration, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) preparation, and customer project delivery while helping ensure equipment and project assets are organized, validated, and deployment ready. The Staging Technician must understand and be prepared to perform Shipping and Receiving roles and responsibilities to ensure effective coverage when assigned personnel are out of the office.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Staging Operations and Project Coordination

• Assign, coordinate, and maintain staging floor locations for active projects to ensure efficient space utilization and workflow management.
• Partner with Project Managers to estimate and plan staging floor space requirements based on project scope, equipment volume, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor staging capacity and proactively identify potential space constraints, recommending solutions to support project execution.
• Coordinate movement of staged equipment within the facility and ensure proper organization, identification, and tracking of project assets.
• Support warehouse, logistics, and project teams to maintain staging efficiency and ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking records for staged equipment, project materials, and system configurations.

Shipping and Receiving Backup Support

• Serve as the designated backup for Shipping and Receiving personnel and provide coverage when assigned personnel are out of the office.
• Maintain working knowledge of the Shipping and Receiving Standard Operating Procedure, including applicable roles, responsibilities, documentation, communication, inventory control, material receiving, and outbound shipment requirements.
• When providing coverage, receive, verify, process, track, and ship materials in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and business controls.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, requestors, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure shipping and receiving activities are completed accurately and without unnecessary disruption.
• Keep shipping and receiving records, forms, packing documentation, and system transactions complete and current while performing backup duties.

Equipment Preparation, Validation, and Testing

• Collaborate closely with engineers to support the staging, assembly, configuration, and preparation of project systems and equipment prior to shipment or deployment.
• Support early project system setup with software loading as needed and creating/maintaining project required cyber security documentation.
• Assist engineering teams with equipment validation, system integration activities, and pre-shipment inspections as required.
• Perform hardware checkout and verification activities to confirm equipment completeness, functionality, and readiness before customer delivery.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) preparation activities by ensuring equipment, documentation, and project components are available and properly configured.
• Perform operational checks, inspections, and testing activities to verify system functionality and equipment readiness.
• Identify and report equipment issues, discrepancies, or technical concerns and support corrective actions.
• Follow established technical procedures, quality requirements, and safety standards during all staging and testing activities.

Success in this Role:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively coordinate staging operations, optimize floor space utilization, and ensure equipment is properly assembled, validated, documented, and ready for shipment or deployment.

Success will be measured through efficient project execution support, equipment readiness, staging organization, customer satisfaction, adherence to safety and quality standards, and strong collaboration with engineering and project teams.

The successful candidate will also maintain readiness to provide dependable Shipping and Receiving coverage by understanding and executing the applicable roles, responsibilities, and procedures when primary personnel are unavailable.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Associate degree, technical diploma, military technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting equipment staging, installation, commissioning, maintenance, or technical project delivery activities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment documentation, installation manuals and project requirements.
• Working knowledge of electrical, automation, control, networking, or related technical systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Experience performing equipment inspections, hardware verification, and troubleshooting activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and operational groups.
• Ability to safely move, organize, and manage equipment in staging and warehouse environments.
• Ability and willingness to learn and perform Shipping and Receiving roles and responsibilities and provide effective backup coverage when assigned personnel are out of the office.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting industrial automation, control systems, digital systems, or electrical projects.
• Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), system integration, or commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of Schneider Electric products, systems, and project execution processes.
• Experience with inventory management, asset tracking, or warehouse coordination systems.

COMPENSATION

• The expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
